A 'top' team takes advantage of the slices of luck they get and we simply didn't react.

I'm not sure if Rodgers thought we were simply playing well or what but that midfield needed tweaking and at 2-0 up it was the perfect opportunity. Lucas is bombing on and getting caught out, he didn't need to at 2-0 and our composure on the ball is laughable.

Should have been a routine win after the start we had, hanging on at half time is ridiculous! If we come out and play the same way in the 2nd half Stoke could easily put another 2 past us.

Skrtel at fault for the second goal, what a surprise and he could have cost us a penalty too with his grabbing of Shawcross, utter ****ing liability he is.

is everyone just running away from the ball cos gerrard is on the pitch. odd good tackle from lucas, but the rest of the midfield seem scattered and little interplay.

Gerrard is an odd one in this game - he's all over the place, physically and figuratively. Its just a really ****ing odd performance.

And yeah, Skrtel, when he's not wrestling in the box he's standing off the man who's only talent is his shot. Pathetic.

Still 2-2, they're not losing.

I thought our midfield was good with Gerrard dropping deep and Lucas moving further forward. We conceded two stupid goals, the second one via a careless back pass.

I think its the reason we have no control whatsoever, Lucas when moving forward doesn't have the quality on the ball and doesn't time his movement properly, for me anyway.

Surely Lucas need to cover?

The first goal was impossible to defend once the cross came in. The second was stupid. The midfield need to get tighter in our half.

Not an awful lot that our defence could do for either goal.

I personally think Gerard has had a good game

Has made a couple of sliding tackles when defending, but other than that, his role is not conducive to establishing a pace to our play. Too slow, too predictable.

I hope Johnson i sold in the summer. He just gives us nothing in defence. I use to think he was quality but he's **** this season. Skrtel just wrestles people to the ground.
