I have a rule that i never bet on Liverpool to win- because if they lose, you lose both the game and the bet. I'd rather lose the bet when we stuff UTD. And when i did bet on us to win, we never did.

My Chelsea mate does it all the time for the big matches, he says at least you can get drunk with your winnings after the defeat.

Yep I like the logic too. Can't say I've ever done it (backed against Liverpool) but I back United, Chelsea et al all the time and the principle is similar. Gutted to see them win but it's a nice consolation when their wins pay for your night out. Kinda no lose; they lose - ****ing brilliant. They win - you get paid.

I've done it a couple times, I remember going to Wembley for the semi final against Everton, I was that nervous that I put £20 on Everton to win...thinking being if we win then I don't care about the £20 but if we lose ill be gutted but at least I'd make some money back

Only time I've done it was a few years back when I dreamt the score against arsenal. 2-1. Put a tenner on it, came out £120 up. Should've put more on. Still would've preferred the win.

United haven't had a single penalty given against them in the league for about three seasons. None this season so far. None last season. I think the last one given against them was v Blackburn in 2011.

I cannot wait for this game, this break without football was too long. I'm enjoying football this year more than in a long time and it's nice having that weekly rhythm of games. I'm already buzzing for Sunday and hope that its another Blitzkrieg from the start for us. It would be nice to remind a few people that the chav's haven't won it yet.
