So the optimists think we should start with Cout, kill the game off and bring on Allen to consolidate and the pessimists think we should keep things tight with Allen, go for a late winner with Coutinho.

Come on Rodgers, go for Coutinho.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I say keep Sterling on the bench.

        Haha, forgot about that option.

Personally, I think he's too much of a threat and in such good form that we'd be foolish to do so.

He'll be well rested and full of extra confidence after the England game, so will be raring to go.

Go for the kill early on. Their confidence is fragile to non-existent.

I'm fascinated to see how Moyes approaches this. He'll be under pressure to put out an attacking team as their at home, but it's in his nature to be more cautious.

Nightmare, hate it when that happens. Still rememeber Carra's own goals way back in 99 spoiling my birthday.
                3rd place. Worst champions ever.

                  in full agreement, Gentlemen.
moyes will have to go for it as the team, crowd and the whole of the evil empire need to paper over the cracks

dive in and slaughter them before they gain any ground. its imperative we take the initiative asap. they will get stroppy and lose their discipline and start getting carded [hopefully]. they will be arguing amongst themselves. the old toilet will turn against them, boo's at half time. half empty stadium after 65 minutes.
i would love it, love it...

Those who think we are blowing them away early doors should think again. This will be a war.

I've thought long and hard about it again, as advised. I came to the conclusion that we are gonna annihilate them from the word go.

Moyes knows that Rodgers will pick them apart on the counter attack, so he certainly won't go gung-ho. It'll be a tentative start from them with the hope they nick a one, nil or a moment of brilliance from Rooney, Mata or Van Persie.

I think Gerrard has the grit between his teeth; he knows this is a good a chance as any for that elusive title and he'll be protecting that back four like his life depends on it. We'll be resilient at the back because of that and we'll run amok at a shoddy defensive line. I hope Smalling and Ferdinand play, because Suarez and Sturridge will rip them a new one.
He should brush more often then - maybe use some mouthwash too. Or did you mean "has the bit between his teeth?"

I would have him in the starting 11 over Cissokho.
