Good in patches but too many people weren't hitting the heights for us tonight. Still, picking up the win is what matters.

I think that's a fair comment. Carra was saying the same. Sunday will be very different and I expect us to be a lot more fluent with Luis looking more like his usual self. ****ing amazing the way we're going the distance this season. ONE point off of the top with seven games left
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

I doubt spurs will play 5 at the back at the weekend.

Screamed the house down in frustration, had my neighbour banging on the wall. We were 2-0 up & cruising. As someone rightly pointed out we were showboating a bit. And I have to say, Suarez was out of order. Taking stupid shots on when other players were in better positions & trying to dribble around everyone when a simple pass would have advanced play. Fair play he's a genius, but show the magic when it's needed.

Back to the overall performance. The players were very nervy and sat deeper & deeper. Really, a better team would have got an equaliser. We can't play like that against better opposition, surely. Maybe it's an ideal wake up call. But make no mistakes, we were close to being title race over tonight.

They'll go 4231 though and will pack the midfield.

I think that's a huge overreaction. They pounded us for the last 15 minutes and yes, we sat back too much and invited them in but that aside, we weren't that bad.
We should arguably have been playing against 10 men, hit the post, and Suarez got in the way of what looked like a second goal for Sturridge

Nervy, but I don't think there is too much to complain about. Sunderland set up very well, we had to try and be more creative and it caused our shape to get a bit wayward
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

I don't think I'm over reacting. I'm not saying SAFC deserved anything, we were far the better team and deserved the points. But we should have got the third and been able to rack up 4-5. Instead we played like idiots in a legends tournament for the latter part of the match. I put it down to nerves at 2-1 which is fair enough, but no excuses at 2-0.

Sometimes it feels like SAS are chasing individual milestones (goals scored) rather than being team players. Although in fairness they did try to find each other on occasion.

It just seems like they could play another team mate in for a better chance.

All the best players chase individual milestones to some degree. Luckily Suarez and Sturridge are so good at scoring goals that they can afford to be greedy sometimes. As long as it doesn't start to cost the team points I suppose.

Another positive -- other than the 3 points that is -- is that despite the nervy spell towards the end, we didn't really get out of first gear, meaning we conserved our energy.

Perhaps this was in part under instruction, but I reckon we should be in tip-top condition this Sunday against the spuds.

                        Excellent result, never in doubt.

                        1 point off the leaders...

                          Great result...massive win

Should have been game over but got panicky. Felt like the crowd dragged them through the last ten minutes...

But it's done..it's another win, it's still on...we keep going. 7 more wins and it's ****ing party time lids

Thank goodness for that. Spurs will be just as nervy.

im glad we walked away with the three points but there were some big wobbles and some fairly invisible players out there.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
