Think we need to improve our passing/touch as a whole and think that's the next stage in our development. Forward movement/penetration is first class, but we do struggle setting the tempo at times. We've improved though. Think the last 3 games have seen us trying to control parts of games, relax with the ball.

When he has a **** game I always say he has been on the KFC
Its that lethargy and slow ****tiness of thought that happens when you try and play footy after gorging on a load of junk food. And for some reason Glen always seems to me as a big KFC fan."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

We have had loads..infact going back to the very first game v Stoke when Mig saved that pen and THAT rebound! It feels like its our time.... : prays :Originally posted by tsb View PostMoments like the O'Shea miss are the ones you look back on when the season is over after having won something as key moments where it could have all gone wrong. Steve Peters' role is going to be crucial in the coming weeks. Maybe we can ask him to hold mass sessions for our fans at Anfield one hour before the gameOriginally posted by BigChief View PostNot sure I agree with the crowd seeing the players through bit. On the telly they were great pre-match but added to players' anxiety throughout the game. Understandably, as we're all nervous. Singing was sporadic rather than supportive, thankfully the YNWA came in with 3 minutes to go and the players calmed down.
Rodgers' mettle will now be tested. He's done the right thing with his 'one match at a time' comment. Not for mind games but to ease his own players' jitters as they become more palpable.
Where Johnson and Flanno had bad games, Coutinho and Allen stepped up their games. That's the kind of confidence-rotation we're going to need to the end.

Indeed!Originally posted by Kenneth View PostOr else we'll be looking back at moments like the sterling 'offside' and bemoaning our luck.
Thinking back to a similar one was Gudjohnsons late miss in 2005 home leg v Chelsea. That was us gone right there.
Shevchenko double miss as well. Certainly walked the line that year.

I've said it before, but I've never been the same since that miss. It was like time stood still as the ball fell to him. I don't relax now unless we're three goals up with less than 5 minutes to play!Originally posted by tsb View PostIndeed!

Didnt 2 spanish guys run on the pitch and throw themselves in the goal and caused 6 mins of injury time? They would have been found had we gone out for sure
On a different note, I was on the verge of tears when Ki scored last night. Feared the worst
Lfc.tv commentary is **** though. Mellor and the other bloke were tempting fate left right and centre. I wont watch our sky games and wont listen to 5live either. Running out of options

As for the lfctv commentary, it is dire...the worst is the 'after' commentary on classic matches.
It is terrible, truly cringeworthy.
Just succombe to the devil and subscribe to Sky, it is worth it just for these last few games alone."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley
