There's absolutely none of that with this team. We turn tough situations into rapid counter attacks or retain the ball unbelievably well. In fact the tighter the teams marks us the more we seem to thrive. I can't believe how good we are
Hmmm. I'm not so sure - the ball Gerrard pumped forward that led to Suarez's goal was totally aimless. I think the real difference is that we close down so well and that the opposition are terrified of at least three of our players. So often in the past we have been limited to at most one or two threats and they have always been very central ones two. Having Sturridge and Suarez work different areas so well has been what has made us so successful IMO.

@paul_tomkins When SAS score: PLD 27 W22 D5 L0. When dont score: PLD 5 W0 D0 L5. So if SAS score we NEVER lose, if they dont we ALWAYS lose.

Well, if your forwards don't score it's more difficult to win I suppose Three of these games were City, Chelsea and Arsenal away, then it's the Hull aberration and the Southampton centre back fiasco

Correct me if I'm wrong, but SAS didn't play together in any of those games except Arsenal?

Well yeah, I agree with what you're saying. We certainly press and panic players into more mistakes. Not saying all of our clearances land on our strikers toes or anything but in general our ball retention either short or long has defo improved
