If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Im baiting, but with Sturridge back soon, Coutinho should take his place, so I suspect time would have been limited for both. Still a blow.

Don't want anyone getting injured but if someone has to I'd rather it was him than Sterling!

Liverpool have been dealt another injury blow after Lazar Markovic suffered a suspected muscle tear during Serbia’s 1-1 draw with Armenia on Saturday.

Markovic was largely ineffective in the 25 minutes he lasted in his country’s European Championship qualifier and could now be out for a number of weeks, adding to the number of Liverpool players recently injured on international duty.

Dejan Lovren sustained a tear in his abdominal wall during Croatia training on Thursday, and has since returned to Liverpoo. Mamadou Sakho is also sidelined, with the club currently having just two central defenders available for selection: Martin Skrtel and Kolo Touré.

Liverpool have had wretched luck in the recent international breaks, with Joe Allen, Emre Can and Daniel Sturridge all injured last month while spending time with their nations. The injury to Sturridge in particular has proved costly, with Brendan Rodgers publicly complaining that England’s training routines were to blame for the striker’s thigh injury; an allegation rejected by England manager Roy Hodgson.

Markovic, who signed for Liverpool for £20m in July, is thought of very highly by Rodgers but has struggled to hold down a starting berth and has yet to register either a goal or an assist in the six appearances he has made.

Serbia had gone 1-0 down to a goal from Armenia’s Robert Arzumanyan but the former Manchester United midfielder Zoran Tosic scored in injury time to salvage a point in Group I. Serbia lie third in their group and face the leaders, Albania, on Tuesday

Echo - Reports in Serbia suggest Markovic will be sidelined for 2/3 weeks. However, #LFC are yet to establish the full extent of the injury

****ing international break! Another injury. This is a massive blow. I wonder who's gonna step up and take his place on the bench.

I wonder whether we are suffering significantly more than others in reality. This one's a good excuse not to play Markovich anyway.
