For all he's done thus far (sweet FA) Jordan Ibe could have done.

He's a lightweight and thick to boot, watch him get loaned out next season 'to get experience'.
        Welcome to the forum.

Finally, someone else right thinking. We can start a movement. One day everyone will agree that's he's rubbish and with a concerted effort involving lots of repetition I think we can make that day ever so slightly earlier than it otherwise might have been. Yes, it's the internet, yes it's a limited achievement, but it will once again prove that beliefs really can make a difference. You with me brother?

Are you saying we are consistently using the same few agents

It would be interesting to see any evidence or even your speculative view regarding it

                His agent is Pini Zahavi

                Zahavi's filling his boots

By Simon Griver, July 25, 2014

Third party ownership of players has provided lucrative income for Israeli agent Pini Zahavi as shown by last week’s £20 million deal bringing Benfica’s Serbian forward Lazar Markovic to Liverpool.

While the Premier League insists clubs must fully own their players, most European leagues allow investors to hold a stake in players.

Zahavi, 70, who has always had an expert eye for young talent, headed a consortium which bought 50 per cent of Markovic from Partizan Belgrade several years ago for £5.5 million, according to reports in the Serbian media.

Markovic moved from Partizan to Benfica for £7 million last summer, with Zahavi’s consortium earning half the fee and retaining its 50 per cent stake, which was now sold in the Liverpool deal bringing the consortium’s returns to £13.5 million for an investment of £5.5 million two years ago.

Reports from Israel suggest Zahavi also headed a consortium that earned £10 million last year in its third party stake in Colombian World Cup hero James Rodriguez and Portugal’s Joao Moutinho who both moved from Porto to Monaco in a combined deal worth £60 million.

He’s here! I *know* he’s here! That’s him, I’m telling you that’s him! You hear me? I’m telling you it’s *Keyser Soze*!

I suppose the question is how many of our other deals has Zahavi been involved in?

You mean like Fellaini does? I think it was a red at he 'lashed out'. It wasn't a defensive move in my opinion.

On Markovic I got the impression he was actually looking to swing his elbow at the Basel player but when he realised he was too far away he decided to extend his arm fully and try and hit him instead.

A moment of madness and a definite red in my book

No, Fellaini elbows people in the face. I think that's completely different.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He's quite tall compared to most players though. And he's ****.

I'm not so sure about this. Time will tell but I have a suspicion that Rodgers may be handling him well. It might be taking longer than hoped for but easing him in and building him up might be the right approach. He's shown in the CL before and in glimpses for us he has talent.

Rodgers got a lot of stick for not playing Sterling enough only a year or so ago and (with admittedly meagre evidence at present) I think he's doing a similar thing with Markovic.

I predict we will all think he's a good signing by the end of the season. The problem was not picking a first choice forward when we were buying several players. Neither Lambert or Balotelli looked like 'bankers' of signings and the former doing what you would probably expect and the later looking like a busted flush at the minute is costing us.

My speculative view is that perhaps we use "other" guidelines to decide upon a player rather than just his abilities.

Trained monkeys on the committee could have made better choices.

I don't think Rodgers trusts him and thus doesn't pick him (he's said as much in recent weeks).
You are right in that i think not buying a competent forward is costing us and puts a bigger spot light on the likes of Markovic and other 'flop' signings.
I just don't think the team (financially or in development/life cycle) was in a place where they could gamble so much money on a untested youngster.
£35m generally gets you a world class star or Andy Carroll .
