I think it's more about whether the signing has been successful rather than whether the player is good or not. If we'd signed Messi in August and he'd got sent down for tax fraud in September it would count as a miss. But I don't really know, it's all a bit silly really.

Yeah I'd definitely say he's been more of a flop than a hit so far. Far to early too make a real judgement on him now though, unless you're an attention seeking tosser like Savage or Kenneth

it must be the case that so far he is a miss. his current contribution has been minimal. thats not to say he wont become the player we have gambled on.

if we have signed him for his potential then as a 20m signing we must assume that within a couple of years he will be a 40-50m player.

thats a big assumption, no?

It's his first season, yes it's a lot of money but can you not see the potential in him?
