At the moment, Sterling Couthino and Lallana are much better options so it's hard to see how he's going to fit in unless one of them gets injured.

Even if that is the case the chances are not all 3 of them will play 90 mins in most games so he should be able to at least get 20-30mins a game without any of them get injured, and then he would probably come in for any of them in the event of injury or suspension, if he does well in those he could easily grab a starting spot.

Last summer's transfer window was far from the disaster a lot of people were saying it was until recently.

We failed on Lovren, Balotelli and Lambert (which partly explains why this season has been so weird - centre back and striker are two of the most important positions in any football team).

Another reason is also the cumulative effect of the failed last summers (2013) transfer window.

Aspas,Alberto - not even playing for us. Mignolet - on his way out. Sakho - not been a regular for various reasons.

Add to that Lovren, Balotelli, Lambert - there are only so many transfer failures a squad can take especially when an attacking talent of the magnitude of Suarez and Sturridge is not available.

For sure. And he can play LWB well too so I think he'll see plenty of game time.
