Thankfully we have Jordan Ibe now who has proven himself effective at RWB. And an enforced rest for a player like Lazar who is effective in a few positions can sometimes be a blessing in disguise. Players can be lethargic after a Europa game and having an attacking player with fresh impetus to come in can make all the difference.

When I think of a best XI for us now I wonder how many players we'd have on the fringes and think of how we could have better spent money, but in truth this part of the season will show why the money was well spent this summer. We have multiple attacking talents now but everyone of them will be needed to keep us fresh and keep that edge.

Sterling has been our most important player this season, whilst in the last two league games Jordan Ibe was our go to guy. Against Palace on the weekend we had neither and had a front five of Moreno, Lazar, Lallana, Couts & Sturridge with the likes of Mario on the bench. Depth.

He won't be in the match day squad regardless. Those who are, including the management will be focused on the game, as always.

Players are registered for sencond phase. From my FM days, underage players don't need to be registered anyway, although some can to meet the home grown quota.

Either way, he is available.
