We are all lauding Edwards and his team these days but Markovic was one that they were really keen on. I wonder if we had signed him from Benfica with Klopp in charge how he would have faired. I think he was badly mismanaged by Rodgers and a victim of the committee vs manager debacle.

There is no doubt he is talented and his season at Benfica showed massive potential, maybe mentally he hasn’t the stomach for it at the highest level but he is young enough and hopefully he makes a decent career for himself.
