It's been poor so far but we've got much more in us imo.

Plenty of things make me think we can finish top 4.

You saying we will finish mid table is more unbelievable imo.

What makes you think we will finish around 10th? We are better than most teams in this league, we just haven't shown it.
We were better than most teams last season because of Suarez, this season most are now better than us,why haven't we shown it? Poor signings ? Wrong system by the manager.seen nothing to suggest we can finish 4th

Early days bendy a load of teams playing badly at the minute and a couple of wins make a huge difference.

I think this season is going to be a difficult one as Brendan is having to rebuild a pretty short lived team that was based all around the amazingness of Luis Suarez and then of course, you add that Daniel Sturridge hasn't been available.

Can't be arsed with all this sack Rodgers shouting that has started because its a difficult period, it was always going to be hard after Suarez left, as it would be for any team coping with losing someone who is at that level of brilliance - losing Sturridge has only exacerbated that - its ****ing ****.

That said though, on the other side there is the shouting about the transfer dealings. Its still early, and there is something to be said for reserving judgement whilst the new team beds in, but Lovren looks an utter disaster, Markovic's value could have been spent better elsewhere and Balotelli just doesn't seem to fit on any level whatsoever. Lallana looks ok, but he doesn't have enough pace to be truly dynamic.

All this is putting a greater strain and reliance on Sterling, who is being bounced about from central to wide and expected to be amazing and creative every time he gets the ball. He's not Messi, he's never going to be at that level.

I know there is some defence of Joe Allen, but I just can;t see it. He seemed to gain value when he was injured and was held up as being some kind of answer to the early season troubles - it felt like grasping at the time and looks exactly like that every time he starts. I don't think its any coincidence that Liverpool are flat, lifeless and lacking in dynamics when he starts - bring him on as an option to retain possession when a game is tight and the sting needs to be taken out of the game. He seems a squad option, not an important first teamer - he's just too small, one dimensional, weak and easily bullied.

4th is still there for us though if we get our ****ing fingers out

Maybe I'm stuck in a negative spiral but I find it difficult to imagine how we're gonna get out of this. We have too many problems to solve. Nothing in goal, **** at the back, no functioning midfield and **** all up front!
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Exactly right,we have shown nothing to remotely suggest we are any where close to playing well, were a complete shamble in gk and defense, midfield is none existent and upfront clueless,I feel for poor Sterling

Forget us, I can't predict where any of the top 7 teams barring Chelsea and City will finish this season.
                      One tit for another.

Exactly, everyone is terrible. Man United are having their worst start to a league campaign since Racist Ron was in charge.

Those two will finish in the top 2 and arsenal look to have found some form but the rest including spurs, ourselves and united look off the pace.

Thing is even though united lost today they have been playing better under van gaal. They have spent a lot of money this summer but they have bought some real quality in di Maria. The rest of their signings look so so. But they look better with every passing week.

At this moment I would say that we won't finish in the top 4 this season. But I can't see the fourth placed team running away with it.

We can't play any worse, so we must get better too. If anything our room for improvement is greater than United's. Like Dan7 I don't buy into the argument that this is as good as it gets this season.

It's hard to say at this stage.

Chelsea are looking runaway leaders, however everyone else is looking decidely average.

We keep foscussing on how **** we are, but Arsenal are barely better, City aren't that great, Spurs are ****, United are ****, Everton are ****.

Who's going to push us out of top 4?

I think City will improve and fight Chelsea for the top, we'll be fighting Arsenal for 3rd.

United are a slight concern, with the players they have there's always the fear they'll pick up, but otherwise sure we're ****, but no more **** than those around us.
