Abysmal performance. Looks more like the 2012 squad currently. Too much passing, not enough shots and shoddy defending.

Balo walks into this team without any effort. Lallana needs to get match fit ASAP as well. Goal scoring threat in open play is awful at the moment.

Well, what a plié of ****. Its pretty clear that the difference between the sides is a couple of world class players. We lost ours. Lets hope the replacement can make up the difference.

Might have been useful having our world class player signed a bit earlier next time.

Got our toughest game of the season out of the way though. Despite the performance, we can still get third place. This kind of game just shows how much we need a player who can finish or provide some magic the way Suarez did. Lets hope Mario give us a bit of that

Got beat last year too but we gave a performance then and looked the better team. We don't have that comfort this time. Better first half maybe but it was all in front of them.

I think Sturridge works a bit better with a partner. Because it allows for dropping off and we aren't left with no one in the box when he pulls wide. The difference tonight has been Cotys forwards.

He's played less than two games for us and looked good last week.

They're better than us, they have loads of amazing players and will come in the top two, guaranteed. We've done alright and we'll continue to do alright, but we're not a city's level and won't be in the foreseeable future. Last year was an anomaly.

Plenty to work on with the new lads but there have definitely been plenty of positives. Lallana instead of coutinho could have made the difference in this one.
