what the hell is it with people and the damn negativity tonight, there were serious improvments to our build up play over the last few games we've played, yes there were defensive ****ups, why they still happen is beyond me and more in dr. peters department, but our play was way, way better than anything we produced against either villa or wham

I think he will be too.

Markovic is going to take serious time however, and Lambert & Balotelli rather concern me in our system. Sturridge is absolutely crucial to us.

Sterling looked knackered at the end; ridiculous ball to setup their second. Worries me for the derby.

Would like to see Suso get some more game time.

Let Markovic train with the ressies for a few weeks to know the way the team plays - and KEEP Suso (tie him until he signs a new contract!!!)

Do you think so? I thought that apart from a few minutes leading up to our second goal we were just as bad, if not worse. Which I suppose is understandable given the makeshift nature of the team. But all the same I'm not going to dress it up. We were awful. It has to be said.

We've somehow became a team lacking any form of creativity going forward, to the point where I'm not even quite sure what our plan actually is.

Sturridge coming back will be massive!

"The 1988-89 Argentine Championship, penalties were taken after drawn matches for an extra point. In the match on November 20 1988 between Argentinos Juniors and Racing Club, which had finished 2-2, 44 penalties were taken before Argentinos emerged as 20-19 victors."
That rug really tied the room together.

I think Balo was an unplanned buy because of the price. All our dealings up to then suggested we were planning on playing one up top surrounded by attacking mids like tonight.

It's been mentioned on here a few times but the way we're playing now reminds me of when Rodgers first took over.

Just a point, Balotelli's balance is shocking. He's constantly slipping. Every game.

It shows how important the pace and movement of Sturridge is in this team, he will make a huge difference and Balotelli will act as a great foil for him.
