Say what you want about our defence but Basel were there for the taking. So many breaks forward.. absolutely toothless & wasteful. Coutinho awful, Markovic tried hard but his final ball was so bad. And Mario being Mario was really poor... the panel had it spot on before the game. The attack IMO is a bigger issue than the defence.

Rodgers is not picking the right teams, looking at Sterling last 2 games he has looked knackered.. you start think how odd it was to rest him vs Villa but then let him play 120 mins in a ****ty cup. Enrique should never have started either. Apart from him i thought we were decent in defence. The amount of attacks going down Enrique's side was quite ridiculous.

No passing, no intensity, no fluidity & aggression. 9 games played, one very good display vs Spurs, decent vs Everton & pretty terrible against everyone else. Rodgers interview was poor too.
