Gerrard's anticipated the 'keeper rushing out to ground and gone to hurdle him. When he's realised Scmeichel has stayed on his feet, he starts to go around him and he just takes Gerrard out. Blatant penalty.

Gerrard jumped into him. Not a penalty.

You see, that is what is weird about it. In the end, Gerrard moves into the keeper. Its looks a pen in real time, but with each replay it looks less and less. The keeper never really moved into him at any point.

Strange one, but the right decision.
