Our play is so negative and lethargic. My god I don't think I have ever seen a team play the ball backwards as much as we do. So frustrating.

Mignolet is a liability right now but you could sense something happening a good few minutes before it did. Johnson and toure with a hundred touches each before passing it back to the keeper. Its gets them off the hook and puts even more pressure on an already nervous keeper. Why pass back at all? Just clear and launch it. When we've won a few and confidence is high then start retaining it more. Gerrard has pressed well and won a lot of headers in our own box. Nowhere near our worst player. Lucas walks around bumping into people for fun. We can still nick this.

gerrard gets the ball and still wants to look for a runner to launch it to. get it on the floor, lallana and sterling want the ball to run with or run onto. the long ball leaves lambert isolated against their cb's.

Precisely. Look at where he is playing and what is expected from that position. Some people here just refuse to "get it".
