I will once again mention McManamans ridiculous gloves.

I don't see how this game isn't anything but a huge improvement, especially set pieces and defending high balls into the box. That seems to be our biggest issue. Toure should be number 1 CB on the teamsheet now.

I have never seen a more nervous defence in the history of football, ever. Its like nothing that's gone before. Its truly amazing. We invite so much pressure on ourselves.

Main thing and only thing was 3 points. That's all that matters.
He got absolutely battered the whole game. Mason gave him nothing, was at least 7 or 8 poxy tackles, lucky he wasn't injured. Everytime Sterling broke there was zero support for him, he had a great game. MOM

3 points, nuff said. Kept getting them by hook or by crook until the robotic legs we ordered for Sturridge are ready.

In performance terms we simply are not going to turn back into a flowing, exciting side over night. Right now we need more than anything else to grind out wins and stop making it so easy for everyone to score against us. At least we've started getting the first bit of that right. The rest will hopefully come later, but despite looking disjointed and obviously missing something in midfield & attack we got 3 points, scored 3 and had the most stonewall pen/red card I've seen in ages denied. That'll do.

Think we are being too negative atm. Too hard trying to keep it tight at the back. Performances not good enough. Results papering over the cracks I feel

Well we've moved Gerrard out of the holding role and we still look too open and exposed

Relieved when the 3rd goal went in as they really took it to us when they went down to 10 men.

No striker on the bench was a strange decision was it not?

Lee Mason isn't fit to officiate a shove ha'penny contest at a church fete.

Sterling fouled repeatedly by all their defenders yet they only got 1 yellow (ignore the red. He had to give that or the Serious Fraud Squad would investigate his bank account).

Lucas not booked although 1 of the 6 fouls given against him was pathetic and no contact despite being only 5 yards from the ref.

We were not great tonight. Sterling can't do it all and never seems to have any support. Defo needs another fast player up front with him.

Great game? yes he was fouled a lot but he goes down so easily. Refs are starting to ignore him now. He looked no threat at all from a goal scoring perspective. Just looks like the sterling from 18 months ago. I have little doubt he will be great again but tonight he was well below his best.

Henderson was very poor tonight, gave Lucas no help at all. Credit for the goal though, was so important for us.

Pretty much comment senses that you build from a solid foundation, its taken Rodgers too long to figure that out but after last season he can be forgiven.

Get back to basics, results have came immediately after making the changes we've all cried out for and a couple of home games now that could have a massive impact on our season.

I don't care about attractive football at this point, results are what matter. Maybe once Sturridge comes back it will lift us, free Sterling and allow Coutinho to play to his strengths. Possibly help Mario/Lambert out too.

We look better with Gerrard out of the holding role and we're also conceding less goals.

Other than that there is not a lot we can do because Mingolet, Skittles, Lovren and Toure are all ****ing ****e and Sakho might be ****e too, it's hard to tell though because he never friggin plays.
