Rodgers had an idea of his strongest starting eleven. When our performances dropped, he tweaked our play expecting the same core eleven to adapt. When they didn't, that's when he started dropping players.

I don't think he could have been much swifter in acting and I certainly don't think he's point scoring. Stubborn? Well, it's probably a trait, but then it is of every manager who wants to stand by their decisions.
Yeh mate i meant that IMO he showed a complete lack of urgency in changing personnel & persisting with one up top without Sturridge, who is the only CF we have that can play that role. Insisted on playing Baloteli up top on his own.. not his game and didn't work. Only changed this really when Balotelli got injured & now playing Lambert (done better) up top own his and that's not his game either.

Insisted on playing Gerrard in this DM role/quarter back role. Defence was exposed horribly & we really did lose points because of this. Not Gerrard's fault he cannot play there, just what he was asked to do. Finally changes it up and puts our only real DM in Lucas in there...and sure enough we look more solid.

Then there's Lovren, whom he bigged up as the leader and organiser. Lovren's individual errors & walkabouts has cost us a lot of goals. Took so long to get him out of the firing line, he brings Toure in & sure enough we look more solid. Seems to have zero interest in playing Sakho too no matter how poor everyone has been.

Now i know he's changed these things eventually but IMO it should have been done a lot sooner to stop the rot. Was pretty evident to onlookers that Lovren was a car crash in there & Gerrard was a huge issue at DM, personally i do think stubbornness played a big part in him waiting so long to change it.

I think the main thing we have to look at is performances. Clearly the results haven't been great but overall the level of performance, even in games we've managed to win... has been sub standard to say the least. I keep waiting for it to turn around & for the real LFC to show up but it just doesn't happen & it's coming up to mid December. One stand out performance in all competitions this season is pretty worrying to me, more than worrying actually ...it's ****ing disgraceful really. It's really hard to get past the money he has blown too.

I think the Basel & United game will be huge for Rodgers. I don't think he can survive getting knocked out of champs league & then losing to United back to back & to be honest i don' think i'd want him too either if that happened. Gutted the season has turned into such a cluster****, never in a million years expected this.. but it has to change & change tonight.

Not sure what else Brendan is supposed to do, we have a really poor squad a massive lack of real quality. Not matter what team he puts out, its gonna be ****.
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

He is fully responsible for this **** season. But I guess the situation is what it is and the team put out will be **** for the most part until january. We need another striker then and we'll have Origi in the summer to come in as well.

Maybe he has but we can't change anything today...

Although not playing Lambert up top on his own would be nice. Be interesting to see the starting line up & how much he changes it....especially the defence.

Hope Markovic gets a start. Actually tried to make something happen against Sunderland. Showed some desire. Could do with that in bucketloads tonight from everyone.

Apparently he is starting for the under 19's today.

WTF has happened to Can? He's been one of our best players and he never gets a game.

I think that's actually my biggest annoyance at the moment.

Played well and got dropped. Pretty normal event this season

I think a midfield of Lucas, Can and Gerrard isn't dynamic enough, I'd only pick two of those. No prizes to guess which two, but I know Rodgers won't try it. By moving Gerrard to the number 10 position, we have an abundance plus one player in that position.

Yup Can's lack of playing time is pretty strange. All energy & physical presence...exactly what we need in our starting 11.

Didn't Can get injured in the first international break?...out for 6 weeks then slowly building back up his fitness?

Rodgers doesn't want to rush his "Mercedes" back too quickly.
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!
