Missed the game, but as the post match thread is only two pages deep I think I know the result.

Sakho was fantastic today. Had Carroll in his pocket, won just about everything in the air, and got us moving on the counter so many times with his positive passing.

Plus all the others that have already been mentioned. So so good to see Sturridge hit the ground running on his return though, I was just hoping for him to get to 90 mins without pulling up with a muscle strain, so to see him in that form was brilliant.

Haha. I'm sure your post count would have been higher if the result was less than immaculate.
                  Oh I don't know.

Incompetence on a grand scale that Sterling never got a penalty at the end of the first half. The standard of refereeing is shocking

Its as poor as I can remember, it seems whatever ref you have you think "**** not him"

Our game against Chelsea for example.. A semi-final..

First leg we should have had a pen.

Second leg, Costa should have been sent off (twice)
They should have had a pen
Lucas/Henderson could have easily been sent off.

Refereeing this season across the PL has been the worst I can ever remember. Something really has to be done now, it is getting ridiculous and these guys are simply not capable anymore it seems.

So am I the only one who was thinking "****, don't jump on him - he might break" when the team were running up to Sturridge to celebrate his goal?
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                          Mine angry and defrauded young?

Lalana wasn't it - thought exactly the same!

Mignolet. 6.5 - nothing major to do, punched a few, ridiculous come out for a corner.
Can. 6.5 - shook up a little in the opening 20mins, but steadied himself and benefitted from the switch to central.
Skrtel 7 - untroubled for almost the entire match, and switched out to cover Can well.
Sakho. 7 - untroubled again and showed to same willingness to get the ball forward and on the deck.

To be fair, the 3 CBs done very well overall again, despite Can's opening 20mins or so (flailing arms, elbows and what not). Dealt with nearly everything that came in, and the switch at HT helped nullify any diagonals attempted. They became less and less of a threat as the game went on, largely in part to their forwards getting nothing from the lads at the back.

Moreno 6 - bit wasteful, but done well for the opening goal. Sometimes caught out postionally.
Markovich 6 - was willing, but some of his touches were off.
Henderson 7 - loads of energy and loved him giving the ref ****.
Lucas 7.5 - calm, measured, and the ball was attracted to him at times in midfield.
Coutinho 8 - always gonna be our outlet for any attacks. Took the rough and tumble well. Brilliant assist for Sterling and Sturridge.
Lallana 6 - didn't quite happen, but never hid. Wanted too much time on the ball at times.
Sterling 8 - very good yesterday. Took his goal well, always a danger, and showed some real strength holding up the ball at times when up top.

Ibe 6.5 - Few decent runs
Sturridge 7 - Came on, got a goal, couple of other half chances
