Our game against Chelsea for example.. A semi-final..
First leg we should have had a pen.
Second leg, Costa should have been sent off (twice)
They should have had a pen
Lucas/Henderson could have easily been sent off.
if Henderson got sent off it would have been criminal though in my opinion. The handball was a deffo yellow card - but if you look back on how he did get his yellow, the little tug back - well if that was a yellow card, then the game should have had about 20 yellows with about 4 or 5 of them as second yellows.
The refereeing is consistently inconsistent.......and consistently ****e as well to be honest....

I went to the game yesterday. My first game at Anfield for around 3 years
Pretty poor first half and excellent second half. In the poor first half you get to realise how much more talented Stirling is to the rest of our players (before Sturridge came on at least) when you watch the team live. He's so fast and skilful he puts everyone else in the team in the shade.
The crucial event in the game was the first goal. Once West Ham went a goal down and lost Carroll at almost the same time Fat Sam's gameplan went out of the window.
From that moment on there was more space in midfield and we were running rings around them. It was a joy to watch.
Didn't think Sturridge would to able to squeeze in his shot from the near post but it was ecstasy went the ball hit the net. From that side of the lower Centenary I watched his celebration up close. Brilliant
The last 30 minutes made up for it being bitingly cold

No I was thinking the sameOriginally posted by MrMichael View PostSo am I the only one who was thinking "****, don't jump on him - he might break" when the team were running up to Sturridge to celebrate his goal?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I know what you guys are saying, the issue for me isn't that the referees are ****, most of the issue for me is that they can't see everything. For example the two Stamps by Costa you can understand the referee not seeing them because they were when the ball was out of play and the ref was presumably trying to get back into an appropriate position. For me the Can stamp incident should have been spotted by the 4th official.Originally posted by Robbie-9-Fowler View PostIts as poor as I can remember, it seems whatever ref you have you think "**** not him"

The Henderson / Lucas incidents were seen by the referee and I have to say I don't think either deserved a 2nd yellow.
While the penalty incidents are open to the referees interpretation.
The only way I can think you can improve the decisions the referees give is by including technology and an using reviews or challenges. This allows you to bring unseen incidents to the referees attention (e.g. the stamps) and allows you to challenge the referees decision to award (or not award) a penalty or a red card. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
