Treat Burnley as if they were Man City or Chelsea and send out a full strength team with instructions to press, harry and ****ing destroy.

Then kick the snot out of Blackburn on Sunday.

Poor result for Burnley at the weekend, so hopefully they'll be there for the taking.

I was saying before the City game that it might work in our favour, having a big game to get going for after the disappointment on Thursday. If we were playing Burnley then, I'd have been more worried.

Hopefully Ings has a stinker and we put 3 or 4 past them.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

We need to start putting some teams to the sword to help our ordinary goal difference. I'd like to see Mario start this for some reason. Not entirely sure why though.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

"Put team to sword" and "start Mario". Did you just have a senior moment?

              Because you are mad.

It wouldn't be the fact of Mario starting that would worry me, but to play him, we'd need Sturridge or someone alongside him as he isn't suited to the lone forward role so that means dropping two of our best attacking midfielders to accommodate him.

The only chage I would consider is Sturridge for somebody, but I quite like the front three as they are and having the option of Sturridge coming off the bench if it isn't working out.

I'm thinking some of that strike force may need a rest after 2 tough outings & another 2 matches this week. Let's see how hungry he is for a start?

I hope we stay switched on because this will be a tough game, we've seen how well they've done against City and they played well against us earlier in the season.

Lallana and Sterling are quite well rested so should be fine now that our schedule is starting to clear. Coutinho looked like he needed a rest a few weeks ago, but he's playing great again now, so not sure how tired he is.

I'd definitely look to get the game won, before thinking about resting players. No point in beating those teams around us in teh league if we are going to throw points away to Burnley.

I didnt think Sterling was that great yesterday

Would you drop Sterling then or somebody else?

By his own standards, it wasn't his greatest game, but he gave the City defence plenty of problems and had them worried.

He wasn't, a bit too indecisive on the ball, but I'd level the same charge at Sturridge when he came on. But his pace is still stretching teams and he has very good link play. He's also less selfish than Danny, and even when having a relatively poor game got two assists. All be it the assists were simple passes as opposed to defence splitters.

Sakho will surely come back in. The rest of the team picks itself with Ibe out, the only issue is the front 3. I can see Sturridge starting, and possibly Balotelli, so it means dropping one or two of Lallana and Sterling, assuming Coutinho is starting.

I'd personally go with the same team, except for Sakho in for Lovren. Ease Sturridge back in with 30 minutes at the end, and bring Balotelli on.

Lets get these pulverised and send them back to their incest ridden, racist ****hole.

Think they've got draws at Chelsea and City so need to be careful but if we are 70% of what we are capable of they'll be going home with a defeat.

I'd forgotten about that game when talking about Burnley earlier. They were very unlucky not to score that day and it was a tough game.

In saying that, we were still getting used to our new formation and a lot of players were still low on confidence. That result was massive for us though and we haven't looked back since.
