I think we've struggled to get Sturridge in the game and Coutinho and Lallana haven't been able to find the pockets of space needed for that spark. Our midfield has been poor and we have little width, mainly due to Sterling being pushed back into defence and Markovic being tentative.

The Skrtel injury sucked out the atmosphere and any real momentum we had started to generate. A Rodgers rollicking at half time and a calming word to our defence will certainly help as we attack what is left of the sunshine in the second half.

Half-time. Well, that was hard work but it was always going to be and it didn't help that Skrtel took that whack on the noggin early. Second half they'll tire and we'll get a couple. Despite the commentators trying to make them sound like Barcelona, Blackburn are just well obdurate at the back. We're doing our best to make them look dangerous when they break but that's just the way we roll sometimes. They don't look particularly good to me.

Like to see Sakho on for lovren. Dejan has had a mare today and is getting the run around and doing some silly tackles. Moreno would be maybe a better option for wing back. Sterling spending so much time defensively that he can't effect the game up top.

All about the Skrtel injury for me, reallt disrupted us and the back line is not familiar with one another at all.
