i think we will win by more than one goal...... for me, Swansea will come at us - which will suit us perfectly..... had Swansea been in a relegation fight, then i would be more worried about this game.

The only team that can beat us tonight is Liverpool. If our players show up, and play to something close to their potential, then we win the game.

Looking forward to tonight. Even a draw isn't the end all, as long as we beat Utd we're fine. However, all three and Utd will be shtting their game against us. That's always good to see.

With an 8 day opportunity for Rodgers to tweak the playing style you just know we're going to go for goals. Could be a 2 or 3 goal win margin for us. Swansea players have got nothing to prove, and its Monday evening, they'll be sleepy with nothing to stay up for.

Balotelli hasn't travelled to Swansea. Has a bug http://mirr.im/18wrZ2J
Amazing how many 'bugs' he picks up.

              Ridiculous.

I don't think we've ever won at Swansea since they came back up. First time for everything.
              Love/hate these kind of days

It's mid March and we are talking about a top four finish (possibly finishing second, again) and an FA Cup semi final. These are good (albeit 'painful') days.

Balotelli hasn't travelled to Swansea. Because he's ****.

                    TEAM NEWS

Liverpool will be without striker Mario Balotelli for the game at Swansea because of illness.

The Italian has not travelled with the Reds squad to Wales, but Liverpool expect the striker to be back for Sunday's match with Manchester United.

Swansea striker Bafetimbi Gomis has been cleared to play by specialists following his collapse at Tottenham in his side's last league game.

Kyle Bartley has a knee injury and is the only confirmed absentee.

Liverpool are five points behind fourth-placed Manchester United going into the game and will be looking to reduce that gap at manager Brendan Rodgers' former club.

Reds captain Steven Gerrard is fit after seven games out with a hamstring injury, while Martin Skrtel and Mamadou Sakho are also available.

Joe Allen is a doubt against his former club because of a hip injury. Left-back Jose Enrique and midfielder Lucas Leiva are both still out.

if it is Gerrard and Henderson, then it might be a time to revert to a back 4 and bring Coutinho deep to give us more bodies in midfield....

                      ----------------------------MIGNOLET-------------------------

                      EMRE CAN------SKRTEL----------------SAKHO-------MORENO

                      ----------------------------GERRARD--------------------------

                      --------------HENDERSON------------COUTINHO-------------

                      ---MARKOVIC--------------STURRIDGE-------------STERLING

It would be risky to change the formation at this stage but a Gerrard Henderson centre midfield duo scares the **** out of me..... Hendo never plays as well when next to Stevie and Stevie doesn't have the legs to be part of a centre midfield 2.

We could play Can in midfield and Lovren or Toure in a back three (although Can wasn't great against Blackburn).

I'll be interested to see where he plays when he gets the opportunity. Presumably the wingnut role.
