Deserved defeat tbh. United controlled the match from the moment they got in front. We didn't create anything and that says it all really! Red card didn't help of course, but we didn't make much of the match before that moment neither...

Awful first half, same as Swansea - he changed it though to be fair (albeit I think he shouldn't have even started with that formation) but I suspect Gerrard playing DM wouldn't have worked anyway. Second half better considering we were down to ten men.

Don't really appreciate Gerrard's/Skrtl's challenges - we don't need to play like that.

Plenty of poor performances though, Allen was lacklustre and outmuscled constantly, Moreno plain poor, Hendo anonymous and could've got us ahead but couldn't muster a basic throughball. Sterling was dreadful again.

Sakho looked good and Mig was brill again; albeit they can stop pissing about with it at the back.

This result had been coming for weeks - a lot of us could see it. Hopefully it'll be the kick up the arse we got when we went to Old Trafford.

Last two games our formation has been found out - all the space closed down, play compact, pack the midfield and cut off the supply from the back. A re-think might be in order.

Top 4 is still there for grabs, but it's no longer in our hands. I think we should revert to our diamond and just go for broke and try to win every single game from now. Play Sturridge and Balotelli upfront, Sterling in the hole, with Lucas back shielding and Coutinho and Hendo in midfield.
