They just cut out every single through ball when ever we did get a chance to get the ball. Made it look effortless. Were predicting our every move. We were dallying because we didn't know what the heck to do.
If that was reversed we'd be saying how we were magificant and stopped us playing.-

It's ****, especially given who we played, but they were very good today. The first 30 minutes are the best they've played this seasonI saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Just got home from game so will have to watch highlights but thought we were ****ing dreadful, certainly first half. Moreno, sterling, Allen and Henderson weren't in the game, Sturridge was isolated...felt the back 3 played well as did coutinho, thought sakho was brilliant, though I'm not sure if he's at fault for their goals?
Didn't press well enough, didn't tackle, gave it away cheaply.....at 2-0 I thought it would be five so credit to them for showing a bit of fight and at least making a game of it.
On a side note, not one to stick it to young lads but if sterling wants £150k he can ****ing stick it. Granted he's played out of position but it was a **** out performance from himi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Unfortunately United seem to be improving at the right time. They deserved the points today, hard to swallow but they out played us and out battled us in the first half. We were always chasing the game after Gerrard got sent off. United never really had to do too much after that so that pace dropped off.
Just too many poor performers on the day.. Been happening for the last few games to be fair. Som players look really tired.

Defo...I think a major issue is right wing back....ibe looked capable but both Markovic and sterling look lost and for whatever reasons neither Johnson or the young Spanish lad can't remember name can get a look in. Plus Sturridge just looks completely isolated and for me can is only doing a job back there.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostLast two games our formation has been found out - all the space closed down, play compact, pack the midfield and cut off the supply from the back. A re-think might be in order.
Not sure what to do but something different needs looking ati own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

I thought our formation was fine, and we kept it relatively safe at the back. I expected Blind and Valencia to push up and make it hard for the wingers and for Allen/Hendo to be pressed at every opportunity.
The problem came because each of those players I've mentioned above are not great against big teams. This isn't a damning criticism, we'll get tons of points with these guys. But when it comes to be big games you need players to stand up and those types are Lucas (on the bench) and Gerrard (too old).
Lallana, Sterling, Allen and even Henderson are great flat track bullies (which makes up for almost 80% of the league so that's what we need). But none of them can handle the big games unfortunately.
Look at Juan Mata who is the opposite. Can't really do well as a flat track bully, is often anonymous. But when a big game comes round he's there as hero number 1.One tit for another.

You'd hope so with three central defenders looking after Shrek on his own!Originally posted by BigChief View PostI thought our formation was fine, and we kept it relatively safe at the back.

Whenever we go on a good run everyone thinks we are invincible and then when we lose half the players shouldn't be in the team, the Manager doesn't know what he's doing and the formation is all wrong.
Statistically this loss was coming. The timing sucks because we've lost a 6 pointer. It would have been better to lose against a mid or bottom of the table team and hope the Mancs slip up somewhere too.
The Mancs have been playing **** all season and haven't had a decent run at all but have still been ahead of us for most of the season. With the money they've spent and the players they've got it was never going to last forever.
We are going to go through a sticky patch. Hopefully we will have the strength to make it a one off, turn it around and finish strong but it's very unlikely we will catch the Mancs now because I think they are going to finish strong too.
It's the Europa next season for us and a summer struggling to buy real world class players.
So, it's essential to keep what we've got which is a lot of young and hugely talented players and have another go at the Premier League title next season.
If we could name our U21 squad for Europa then I'd do that but we'd probably get fined or something if we did.

It is the worst result possible in the league calendar IMO but no point letting others suffer due to your annoyance. Get off here would be a start and do something completely different is the only medicineOriginally posted by captainfog View PostIt's just the worst losing to this lot, isn't it. I've barely spoken to anyone in the house since the result, been hiding away feeling sorry for myself.

Had a bit of time to unwind. **** performance to a man. Allen, Hendo, Lallana, Moreno were atrocious for the first 30 mins and didn't get much better.
With 11 men I think we'd have got a point. Gerrard let us down, but that's who he is and why we love him. Like when he elbowed Fellani last season.
The ref was poor but didn't affect the overall result.
Glad that fat cunt missed the penOriginally posted by fah-qDidn't someone once see Philip Schofield ****ting into a crisp packet?
