I don't think our start is anywhere near as bad as people have made out.

Stoke, Bournemouth (who will be up for a battle), West Ham, Norwich, Villa and Everton... yeah, it could be worse.

Actually most of the top 4 have reasonably tricky starts with the exception of City perhaps... there is a school of thought that its best to play the tough teams early on before they hit their stride

I've put the Europa League, Capital One Cup, and FA Cup fixtures in there too.

We're home every match except one, the derby on 3rd October.

The rest are Norwich, Southampton, Palace, Swansea and WBA all at home.

              Can't complain with that.

I know we have the youngsters/fringe squaddies but Rodgers does not play them in Cap One Cup matches. So on that basis I'd like to get knocked out of the Capital Cup asap. Will free up our 'nice' December to February run where we need to do most damage.

Tbh I think Brenden could be f*cked. Can see us being a poor position come Christmas, despite their being a lot of difficult games the PL position will damn him. Can also see us losing the first game. Yes, I'm in a cheery mood today

For starting game I dont see there could have been a much better one than say Watford or Norwich. It was going to be away as we requested. All home teams like to make a good start. With this game its extra motivation to exact the wrongs of the mauling. Plus stoke in August isn't like stoke in October. It will be tough and if we concede early god help us but it stands the chance of galvanising us from the off.

I think the initial away games are difficult given that we didn't get a point and conceded 13 goals in the equivalent 3 games last season. If we can improve on that then we might be in for a good season. Repeat last seasons results and Brendan has to be under threat

I'm quite happy with this to be honest, when we finished 2nd it seemed we had the majority of our 'tough' games out the way pretty early and momentum built up carrying us over the line in games the 2nd half of the season.

I think if the fixture list were reversed it would be worse for Rodgers because all the big teams are capable of coming to Anfield and winning whilst the lesser teams will all be stronger at home.

I predicted Stoke, seems like it had to be after that embarrassment a few weeks back, a repeat of that and I'd be calling for Rodgers to go immediately. But he's got a chance to put things right from the off now.

If we are in a good position at Xmas it sets us up for a good season. If we get a Dodgy start we can still have optimism around an easier run in. It's the ultimate fixture list for an optimistic bunch.

Good start - we can challenge for the title
Bad start - well that's the tough games out the way and we get Sturridge back soon
                              Forwards.......

Two ways of looking at that isnt there. I prefer the idea that after November its all smooth(ish) sailing.
