Any players who didn't turn out to be totally useless after such lenghty injuries at that age?

Feel awful for the lad, hope he gets over it.

Everyone will poo poo but, Keane at Burnley is a very very good defender - Yup he's English but he'll go places

Those that killed her, were following the law.

Not a bad shout at all if we were looking for a RCB (don't know if he has played at LCB on a regular basis). He reminds me a lot of Gary Cahill in how he plays.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Read somewhere that he's scheduled for a return on 8th or 9th Sept of this year, of course!

Then read summat else that he's to go out on loan?!!!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Liverpool defender Joe Gomez was given an emotional round of applause by his team-mates after making a long-awaited return to full training yesterday.

The hugely popular Gomez was greeted with the impromptu welcome when rejoining the senior squad for the first time since the knee ligament injury that brought a promising start to his Anfield career to a shuddering halt exactly 12 months earlier.

Gomez ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament while on international duty with England under-21s last October.

The 19-year-old was close to a return to full training in mid-July but suffered a setback when diagnosed with tendinopathy in his Achilles.

Liverpool have been understandably keen to tread carefully with Gomez’s recovery, but now the player has taken a significant step towards a return to first-team consideration.

Even if we get him for the second half of the season, can't wait to see him play!

He was the one bright light at the start of last season. Looked a real prospect.

                    Wasn't it an ACL rupture?

The treatment may have moved on now, but don't these have a reputation for taking something away from a player long-term? Lucas being one fairly recent example.

Hope the lad returns just as strong and goes on to fulfil his big potential.

Remember how good he was at Arsenal at the start of last season?

                              Finished 5-0

Gomez came on in the 2nd half, not sure on the scorers.

Klopp’s side claimed a 5-0 victory over Accrington, with Academy forward Rhian Brewster notching a hat-trick and Emre Can and Harry Wilson also on target.

A number of other senior players featured in a strong line-up for the game, including Loris Karius, Lucas Leiva, Joel Matip, James Milner and Alberto Moreno.
