I like the fact that we have been fielding strong teams in pre-season and taking the matches seriously. There seems to be a certain no nonsense approach about the club this summer with our transfers, Rodgers keeping his mouth shut and these friendlies. It’s good to see.

I think you may be right. We have ourselves a problem that we aren't going to solve this summer. We aren't going to bomb out sakho and lovren after spending all that money on them, even though I don't think either are trusted by Rodgers. Obviously sakho isn't or why spend all that dosh on lovren who's used to playing left sided centre back and in direct competition with sakho? Sakho is a nice bloke, stats look good however he does seem to injured a fair bit and when pressured he looks to have a **** up in him imo. Skrtel is experienced and had to stay but he's hard to partner in a 2, he drops too deep and gets bullied regularly. Those 3 worry me a lot. Somehow we just have to hope we get chance to play a settled two and the teams form is such we are scoring enough to compensate for the liabilities that will occur at the back.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI don't like it when people read too much into pre-season, but I think we'll start at Stoke with Lovren and Skrtel as the CBs.
I ****in hope I'm wrong

This and the fact we've effectively been totally written off from a top four finish by opposing fans and media alike takes all the pressure off us.One tit for another.
