Not sure he was that knackered tbh, but it makes sense. I thought Rossiter looked way out of his depth and like a little boy lost.

Overall a great point. The midfield was tiring toward the end, and the heavy pitch only compounded the issue. We did well to get out with a clean sheet, though we've only scored 2 in 3 games now which is a bit of a worry. Trust Cech to come good against us, though.

But... Rossiter coming on for Lucas was utterly bizarre. I must have missed something there, because it looked like Lucas was doing exactly what we needed when on the back foot. Rossiter added nothing, looked lost and was bypassed by them far too easily.
Fitness issues for Lucas, Firmino & to a lesser extent, Couts. Right players to take off. Obviously, disappointing performance from Ibe coming on, but think the three coming on we're up against it as by then Arsenal were a dominant force.

Another clean sheet, fantastic stuff. Thought Skrtel was commanding, really impressive. Emre Can makes a big difference to the team too. We really should have won but Im happy with a point

I thought both defences were poor tonight, great physical effort from both sides at the back but I think it was far from vintage stuff, though it made for a good spectacle.

Very happy with the first half, completely lost our way in the second (which is to be expected there), great effort all round. Mig, Clyne and Gomez did very well, Coutinho was top draw, Benteke did OK. The only concern I have was Brendan's decision to bring on Ibe, Origi would've added more from what I've seen of Ibe of late.

            Onwards.

Good performance and fair result in the end. Hit the woodwork twice and Cech had that outstanding save but mignolet also made some great saves, from giroud and Sanchez hit the post.

Not really sure why Lucas was subbed, was very good I thought.

It really can't be understated how the new fullbacks have been so important to these clean sheets.

I tuned in at the 50th minute (****ing slept in!) but from what I saw, our fullbacks were excellent, Milner was indefatigable, Benteke won everything and has a pass in him.

Gomez - Wow, looks as assured as any PL player and he's only played 3 times in the PL!

For all the midfielders we have, having to turn to rossiter shows with an injury or twohow quickly we can be found wanting.

We were excellent in the first half. Should have been 3-0 up.

Laughable to criticise a young kid making his way. Problem is people comparing him to a £46m player. The season Sterling took off, he'd already had a full season behind him, and 13/14 he was dreadful at the start, but incredible Xmas onwards.

Ibe needs a goal imo and then he will be fine.

In all fairness to Ibe, coming into that game would have been hard for anyone, let alone a young kid.

Extremely lucky the linesman was **** at his job and ruled out a perfectly good goal from arsenal. But considering I expected them to steamroll us, we did excellent. Love Coutinho. Mental Albert should of had more then 5min though.

Its not laughable at all, there are standards that any player has to reach regardless of how young or old he is, Ibe was poor regardless of that and regardless of any comparison that could be made with Sterling (even though maxiedge didn't make a comparison)

I thought rossiter did fine. Gave us some energy and kept things simple. Ibe was terrible. Contributed nothing. Very pleased. Would have taken that before hand.

Which is quite apt seen as he looks like Punch from Punch and Judy.
