West ham loaded up their left hand side and left their right hand side fairly open. We played right into their game plan.
Totally agree. From the start you could see that they would defend narrow/lopsided. If we could see it, why the **** couldn't our manager?

There's a pattern to the type of mistakes they make though.
      3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Didn't see it. Glad I didn't. Got to fear we're going to have a similar season to last.

I didn't think gomes would play today because although he gives us much more cover on the left he doesn't give you anything in attack. We should be on the front foot at home v west ham so I thought Moreno would play. That way when both Coutinho and firmino drift inwards both fullbacks can still provide the width.

I thought we didn't get that right today. Incidentally, Lovren looks good when gomes shuts off the channels and gives him plenty of protection. When gomes was asked to go forward and join the attack, Lovren couldn't do his own defending. An 18 year old rookie is doing lovrens job for him.

Lovren's problem is his decision making. He panics and doesn't help himself.

We were too predictable today and I don't think Rodgers will turn this around.
            Are we winning?

They make mistakes because they're both ****. We should have put money down for schniederlin. He would have made both of them look like world beaters.

Alot of people are talking about the defensive errors today (and rightly so Skrtel and Lovren were awful), but for me the main issue was a lack of creativity, we had one shot on goal that I can remember and that was a Lovren 25 yarder. While you can't legislate for individual errors (other than by dropping those prone to them), if we don't create chances we are going to lose games. So far in 4 games this season we have scored 2 goals, one was a worldie from Coutinho, the other was lucky to be allowed. Aside from 45 mins against Arsenal that is the sum total of what we have created. Our two main attacking threats are Benteke and Coutinho, Coutinho like to play through balls to Coutinho so isn't really up in support of him leaving him isolated, if we play with one up then we need runners from midfield and we don't have that Lallana and Ibe have been poor when they have played and Firmino isn't up to speed while the likes of Henderson, Milner, Lucas and Can have been playing deeper, Can is the only one of them that has seemed to be getting forward and I don't think he has the experience/ability to do it effectively at the moment. (Can I think will be a good player but I don't know in what role). We need to change the balance of the midfield or somehow make it more effective in an attacking sense.

****. If we are beaten badly at Utd things are going to get tense!
Lovren backs off just as much as Skrtel

The whole defence was ****e but Lovren was by far the worst. The guy has caused so many goals from his direct errors. Skrtel does tend to back off but watch out for Lovren in this game alone.... It sums him up perfectly. He charges out every single time and leaves Skrtel alone and a huge hole in the defence. He's brainless. Watch the highlights and for the goals and it's blatant. I doubt you ll see a worse CB performance this season.

Our midfield is incredibly poor. Can't remember when we last controlled a game.
                        Another MASSIVE game

The reason he still gets picked after his horrid season before is one of many reasons Rodgers wont last the season. And cant say I'd be too upset. 3 seasons with the same mistakes. It's impossible to deny now that Suarez was the only reason we looked good under Rodgers.

One wonders how that season would of been had we a manager that knew what he was doing in attack and defence.

We still had no width and the pace of our game went down together with our pressing. West Ham had it easy when they should have been pressed back.

Hope he turns it around but it's backs against the wall now.
You're not allowed to waiver seeing that you've criticised others for doing so in the past. You have to see it through to the end I'm afraid

Does he ****, he has his own mad issues but backing off isnt one of them. You were berating him for jumping in all the time the other day, make your mind up.

It wouldn't make any difference they would still make individual mistakes that cost us goals, the second and third goals today happen regardless of who is in front of them, the first possibly different midfielders might have closed it down or got a block in but it's mostly poor defending.

The problem is that we have those two in the side we need to have a defensive LB to cover for Lovren so he doesn't get dragged wide. We have one or two midfielders sitting in front to offer protection. That is basically half the team trying to make up for the fact that we have dodgy CBs, meanwhile they still make stupid errors which cost goals and with all that going on defensively we have no creativity or threat going forward. It's a cluster****.
