Even in the alternate reality that Rodgers visits to dream up the team selection that justifies Lovren or Allen
we would have done better dropping lovren and playing gomez as LCB and bringing moreno in to give us more attacking width.
at least gomez is more solid in defence so maybe doesnt need a lb to babysit him like lovren does.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Maybe not inept, he's just not good enough for Liverpool

****ing disgraceful. Trying hard to not knee jerk, but I'm really worried about Rodgers, he's baffling me at times, even in the previous couple of games.

At home to west ham, it was far to defensive and we allowed them to pressure us

Lovren is ****e, firminho just not in the game, granted it's early,Mbundu this game was screaming for two up top, Ings and benteke from the start.

What really worries me tho is it's the same ****e over the last well year or so.

Pedestrian midfield, no width, no pace, no penetration, and every time we come up against a side with four or five big strong lads we just get bullied.

              ****ing disgraceful performance

He was today. I don't think any manager in the premier league is tactically inept in general. But over the last few seasons it is very worrying the amount of times he gets formations/tactics and personnel selection wrong from the start of games.

He couldn't striker a balance last season, didn't know what his best team was or how to play them. This season we have a better squad but IMO it does seem that he still doesn't know what way to set us up. The midfield is a mess & IMO the biggest issue as it's not doing the defence or the attack any favours.

                  I don't think he's tactically smart either

His downfall will be signings and also insisting on playing his signings when they clearly aren't better than some of those he has left out and marginalised

                    I'd say he is.

Loads of times last season, after 10-15 mins I remember sitting there thinking this is wrong, we need a change quick. U can see it coming, and everyone sitting round me saying the same things. And every time he doesn't react and we get done.

At home, we are set up with very defensively, with one striker completey isolated, we had no width and no pace. We could see it after 10 mins. But we plod along, and by time he gets the players in at half time it's too late.

I've said this for ages with Liverpool. I know within five mins how we are going to play. So,ermines we come out the blocks and look sharp and u know we wil play well...other times we just look slow, lethargic, lacking ideas. Today was the same, you could see early on that we just never looked like we would threaten their goal

Thing is with Rodgers is that at times during the last two years when he's tactically been very good and things just clicked, especially in attack. Seems to have gone backwards though and doesn't seem to have the solutions to sort us out.
                      Are we winning?

I take it you mean he's inept rather than good enough for Liverpool

He made some good decisions during 13/14, so I can't call him that just purely because of that season.

He's definitely not a good enough manager for Liverpool though, and the decision to stick by him is going to cost us top 4 again in the short term, and further damage to the club's reputation in the long term.

See we used to have an attacking plan, you can't say that any more.
I've been moaning about it for ages - it doesn't matter who you play up front we don't create for them.
So no attacking plan and no defending plan - wtf does Rodgers actually do?
He’s here! I *know* he’s here! That’s him, I’m telling you that’s him! You hear me? I’m telling you it’s *Keyser Soze*!

Exactly. We have just paid a near club record fee for Benteke and he looks as isolated and lost up front as much as Lambert and Mario did last season. What will be the plan next summer if Benteke hasn't solved the goal drought? Loan him out next summer and pay over the odds for someone else and use that as an excuse for the failure?

How many big strikers has Rodgers had since been at Liverpool and not one was used correctly.

I hadn't even noticed that Chelsea lost at home today too.
