I'm not a fan as everyone knows, the Southampton thing is bull****, he had a good 6 months and tailed off. I said it then I've said it many times since, I'm saying it now, Fonte was the main man in that defence and I wouldn't want him either. Lovrens just not very good but I agree with Nigey it's not all down to him. The manager simply can't coach a defence. He gets it right for a flurry of games before it all goes to **** again.

Skrtel was **** today but at least he made a defensive header out, given it wasn't headed out wide but he was stretching. For me, Gomez was just asleep. It was a **** scuffed ball in and Gomez lost his man.

thank you. It wasn't like he had all the time in the world to get that header out. Like you said he was stretching & did the best he could considering. Gomez could have done a whole lot better if he'd read the situation.

Yeah, I'm not sure what else Skrtel can do there? Nobody was challenging the second ball though, and then Gomez is soft in the tackle. A bad start. Compounded by Lovren for the second.
