For me there was two errors/mistakes for the 1st goal....

1. Nobody picking up the incoming player who had all the time in the world to collect, control and fire the ball back in from Skrtel's header.

2. Gomez seemed half asleep and reacted way too late (granted it was like the 3rd min of the game).

agreed, but we need Brendan to set up to facilitate that not hamper it. With one up front in isolation and without reverting back to a diamond and playing to the squad's strengths, we're goosed.

Hope Brendan got a suitablely harsh wake-up call from that dire performance on Saturday...

That has pissed me off the most so far... insisting with playing 1 up front even at home. West Ham just doubled up on Benteke and totally nullified us. You really should not be playing 1 up top at home, it just automatically puts us in a conservative/defensive frame of mind.

That - and starting games very slowly. We look lethargic compared to the Suarez/Sturridge games where we could be two up after 15 mins at home....

I am still gob-smacked at our abysmal performance, but saying that you just knew it would happen. What the F**k is it with our home performances it is absolutely dire.

When Lovren took that ball along the byline, which resulted in WH second you knew what was going to happen, what the hell was he thinking? and his look at me I'm Messi moment..oh my word..

Young Joe had a off game and it showed because Lovren was all at sea. our back line was awful....

Courts second yellow was never a yellow.. we never troubled them one bit.. disgraceful.. It's like they never played with each other before.

What is it with Rodgers and he use of Benteke, why the hell is he always so isolated.. bet he was a committee signing lol ..

I cannot complain to much about Fermino way to soon - he's not fit and the pace of the EPL is something he need to get to terms with - I think there has been glimpses that he hopefully should come good in time.

Ings had a good cameo, I do like him and he should start against united in place of Fermino, we'll need his pace and pressing from the front, him a Benteke would work well imo..

I'd even be tempted to put Origi on at some point in the 2nd.. He'd be a handful against a tiring defence, imo..

We are away to United next so we'll probably show up for that, if we do we might be looking at a win ..pitty Courts is banned (should have appealed that yellow) Hopefully Hendo is fit and we can push Milner a little more forward..

What ever happens we need more support up front from the midfield, too many more games like the last 4 (45mins aside at Arsenal) and we will be sliding fast down the table..
