That was this years LFC last year & at the start of this.Originally posted by Fredo View PostUnder Hodgson, it was a hoof feast. Then there was Mike fackin' Kelly. It was ****e beyond ****e.
Whenever Rodgers reverts to his true style & forgets the pressure I see a side that is adventorous and capable. But too often he lacks the bottle to just go for it and we end up being neither dangerous or solid.
I remember Rodgers saying how anyone could organise a team to be solid when a team parked the bus. Anyone but him I suspect is the true answer. 1-0 up v Sion and we really should be seeing that game out. Same as Norwich. Yet if we concede first, we may as well just give up.Forwards.......

The fact that one of our coaches middle name was Facking didn't impact on the football. Under the bodgesaurus it was mindless, insipid, meandering piss. Not unlike the cobblers that Rodgers has been serving up. Stoke, Bournemouth and West Ham were classic Hodgson affairs. In fact it's almost like he bought Benteke so he could deliver an even more Hodgie style of ****. It's really ****ing balls this current philosophy that he's implementing. Steadily declining, dreadful, toothless, shapeless rubbish.Originally posted by Fredo View PostUnder Hodgson, it was a hoof feast. Then there was Mike fackin' Kelly. It was ****e beyond ****e.A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

I think the performances under Hodgson were worse, they where negative depressing and just all round poor to watch.
The difference with this is that Brendan has spent tons of money and got himself nowhere, we have literally not advanced as a team since Kenny left, arguably since Benitez left, but at least Kenny won a trophy. The amount of money that has been spent is shocking. And we've got pretty much f-all to show for it.
I take no pleasure in saying this but I think Brendan's passed the point of no return for me and a couple of wins or not a change should be 100% made. The times they are a changin'.

Is that really the defence people are using now?
Yeah, you can't say, 'well he's not as bad as the worst manager we've had in living memory, despite spending £200m'. It doesn't stack up.

Nah. We're just average right now. Under Hodgson we were terrible. Dalglish's last 4/5 months in the league were awful. Rafa's last season with H&G still in charge and the club in 300 million pounds of debt, now that was grim.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View Post**** you Rodgers, **** you mediocrity, **** you boring football, **** you apologists. This is the worst **** I can remember from this club.
Yeah Brendan needs to go ASAP but is this the worst ever ? No.

He did, didn't he? He said we should have taken our chances but they'd only had one and it was Gomez' fault. I'm astonished that he might think that but even more that he'd say it.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostHe's used to doing that.Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

In fairness that record being played is the same that the club and its associated employees have been rolling out for years now. Instead of admitting we are poor or have done something wrong, we point to someone who was / is worse and claim it's not so bad.Originally posted by Plod View PostBodge didn't spend £300m. How many times are you gonna roll out the nadir of the club in living memory as justification for this utter bilge?
Our resources were just as limited under Rafa and yet we were ranked number one team in Europe. Despite all the constant turmoil. We finish 6th and he gets the sack, orchestrated by Ian Ayre and the motley crew because of claims 6th & being knocked out in the group stage of the CL wasn't good enough.
Last year was similar in many ways, big player leaving and injuries to a star man. Rafa could point to runners up the year previous AND European success AND previous success in Spain. Gets the sack. Rodgers still here. Can't see why tbh.Forwards.......

Not having that - there was potential and high standards in that era's recent history. We all knew that Hodgson was ****ing **** and he was never going to last, but at least we had Torres and Gerrard - nowadays what do we have? We all love Coutinho, but let's be honest - he's the worst "best player" we've ever had. The whole club reeks of mediocrity from top to bottom from FSG to Rodgers to the **** we have to put up with on the pitch.Originally posted by ~LFCHistory~ View PostNah. We're just average right now.
