Our resources were just as limited under Rafa and yet we were ranked number one team in Europe. Despite all the constant turmoil. We finish 6th and he gets the sack, orchestrated by Ian Ayre and the motley crew because of claims 6th & being knocked out in the group stage of the CL wasn't good enough.

Last year was similar in many ways, big player leaving and injuries to a star man. Rafa could point to runners up the year previous AND European success AND previous success in Spain. Gets the sack. Rodgers still here. Can't see why tbh.

Face don't fit. Boils my blood tbh. Don't get me started.
    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

It's not good. There's no fight in the team, we've lost our heart.

Yeah Brendan needs to go ASAP but is this the worst ever ? No.
Benitez & Hodgson could point to behind the scenes issues. Despite being awful under Kenny we still made two cup finals and won one in his last season. Rodgers makes a semi final and calls it par.

It was a very 'meh' performance, not great, not ****, just the underlying feeling of not being good enough. Sion are a poor side in all honesty whatever side we put out we should be beating them at Anfield.

Our form at home has been woeful
          Bournemouth W 1-0
          West Ham L 0-3
          Norwich D 1-1
          Carlisle D 1-1
          Aston Villa W 3-2
          Sion D 1-1

You say that there are 'no easy games' in football these days but FFS you should be beating all those sides at home. For all the talk of difficult away games those home games should be a breeze
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Problem with Rafa was he called people out. Didn't tow the party line. You can't be a chairman and make grandiose claims with Rafa as boss if you aren't about to follow them through.

I'm sure someone could come up with an excuse if they wanted to, but it wouldn't be warranted. That is simply not good enough. Not even close to being so.

Smoking the same **** FSG are if they still think Rodgers is capable. If being the key word.

We created more clear cut chances in that game than Utd have probably managed all season. Yet they have scored a **** load more goals.

The players don't seem to be with Rodgers anymore. They don't seem to believe. Although we played some great through balls that should have been finished the rest of the game was terribly disjointed.

To blame Gomez is ridiculous, he was stepping forward to mark a free man in the middle. He was the immediate danger and Toure was otherwise occupied or just not paying attention. Gomez didn't cover himself in glory but you could see he wasn't sure of what he was supposed to do all game.
                        One tit for another.

It must be bad when even Harry Redknapp is starting to look a decent option.

Bottom line no matter how poor we may have been is that Llalana and/or Origi should have put the game out of sight.
