What do people actually want/expect? Seriously.

A fluid team knocking it about, creating chances and scoring at will regardless of the personnel up front? Good luck with that, that doesn't happen anywhere in this league.

We have seen with our own eyes van persie, then Rooney and now martial bail them cunts out with goals. City without aguero struggle. Chelsea without costa and drogba before. Its why goalscorers cost so much.

If we have Sturridge and Benteke available and fail to score, then its game over. But if these two score goals and drag us through, it should restore confidence throughout.

I don't like Rodgers or his three at the back but I find myself as the lone voice of reason at times when everyone else is jumping onboard at every opportunity.

Booing your manager after a game. I'd be well excited for that.
It's not just one game though is it?

Okay I thought we were discussing football here. I should rephrase it to "one of the worst jobs in football."

Even if Brendan was dumped, he'd not be worryng about his mortgage, and his ego probably wouldn't skip a beat, he'd more than be able to convince himself everyone else was wrong. He'd be good.

'Worst job in the world'. ?
          Serious hyperbole.

Well i made sure i re-read it to be sure you didn't say...'in football', so decided to run with it and preach away.

Although i still disagree, 'one of the worst jobs in football' ??? Really ? Nope.

              My bad.

I hope there are a lot of great managers queuing for the job right now. I really hope.

You can talk about players missing chances and whether that is the fault of the player, the coaches or the manager, but when you look at the fact that we have played 10 games this season and have only scored more than 1 goal in a game against Villa, and the end of last season we scored more than 1 only twice in 13 games. In our last 23 games we have only scored more than 1 goal on 3 occasions For me that is big problem and suggests something systematic is wrong with the way we play. Particularly we or defending is poor as well, we aren't going to win many games like that and the run of results in that time has shown it to be the case

We don't need a great manager

We just need one better than the poor one we have at the minute

True but we want to get the best we can - someone who can take us to where we want to be rather than just someone who is just better than Rodgers and might lift us a place or 2 up the table

Hiwever I think even a slight improvement would be better than sticking with Brendan

My statement about playing a stronger side was not aimed at Sturridge playing. I got no problem resting him between games until he has full match fitness back.

I got no problem with Ings and Origi being played together up front , it is at the non existent centre midfield and wing backs who are not suited.

Coutinho behind them two with Lallana gives them miles more service and makes us look a more fluid team.

When it was a champions league we treated it the same last year playing the weaker side.

Surely we need to start getting positive results , wins on the bounce and confidence returns.

The players had no major tournament in the summer to contend with and we have only just got to October.

Those two would normally result in a goal, is that the managers fault they fluffed their lines? Over the last 25 years I've seen us struggle to put away poor opponents in European competition, including under bentitez. The atmosphere is usually flat and the team is usually second string and the thing is going through the motions. I think many, probably understandably given our run of form, but are over analyzing last night's game. We created enough to win. The players have to learn how to finish, a manager can't do it for them.

                              I'm with Bob on this.

Not defending Rodgers as some of the decisions he's made have been completely bonkers but he can't be blamed for people not putting the ball away. I think the last couple of games we've looked better in an odd kind of way.

I know everyone can't stand him but the relentless negative ****e that gets written on here ****ing gets you down in the end. Maybe we should all just try and get behind the team and hope that we get through it and if something happens regarding Rodgers then so be it.
