Obviously terrible from Can but our defensive shape there was terrible too. Just a massive line across the back.

In general I think in this game individual effort has overcome a shape where people on the ball have few options for easy passes and there are two many spaces in front of the defensive line for Everton to create play.

We've been the better side, we've played pretty well and should have done better with at times in the final 3rd.

There chances came from our mistakes, their best period was build on Sakho not getting tight to Naismith and them having a great chance and momentum from it. If he clears that the game likely continues as was.

Coutinho was anonymous for 35 minutes, came into it a little towards the end but he should be doing more.

I knew they were going to score in injury time, we simply cannot manage games of football, thats as basic a clearance as you'll see all game and Can makes an absolute mess of it and yet again Everton's momentum comes towards the end of the half from our own mistakes.

Now they'll have their tails up for the 2nd half, we need to play the same as the first half and cut out those ridiculous errors.

We need to be creating more chances, we have dominated the game but created nothing, amazingly our goal came from a corner, Everton had had the better chances and there were a couple of good saves by Mignolet, but the goal was poor defending from Can. The type of mistake we make way too many of in defence.

If Rodgers wanted to play 3 at the back he should've signed a CB to play their in the summer. Obviously, we all know he only switched because his usual attempt at 433 had failed.

But this is the main reason Rodgers should be sacked. He has no clear plan for moving forwards. It's annoying,mbecause if he'd have gone with this at the start he could've avoided £32m on Benteke and signed proper players to play this formation.

we need clyne to swap positions with can.
clyne isnt getting up the pitch, can could give us a bit more presence in the middle and run with the ball creating some space.
clyne is more solid defensively, let him cover the back and not ask him to play wing back, ffs brendan.

its not like clyne is giving us the width up front, or can is improving our defence.
there is just no point to it.

I'm worried that Can is going to get sent off, he seems to be fired up and in light of being responsible for their goal he could try to make up for it by charging into things, we can't afford to lt that happen

Clyne isn't a CB and Can isn't a RWB. You just solve one problem & create another.

Also a professional footballer, should be clearing that. No excuses regarding his position. Our players have gotten off lightly whilst the focus is on the manger (rightly so) but its time they become accountable for basic errors.
