It'd be a tough choice of was a straight pick between Ancelotti or Klopp.

I think Ancelotti has ' more prestige' than Klopp despite the successful Dortmund stint. But that side was properly built by Klopp at a club which faces the same problems as Liverpool (your best players being nicked by the big boys)

I'd hazard a guess that Klopp would put Emre Can in DM and have him split the CBs when building from the back just like Kehl or Bender or even Steven Gerrard back that time we finished second.

It's how it's implemented though, isn't it. If he's left isolated then it's no good, but if there is cohesion and organization within the side then it's absolutely fine.

Yeah, 4231. Traditionally with a destroyer in midfield (Bender, Kehl) paired with someone to start counters (Sahin, Gundogan). Usually one wide player to stretch the pitch, one that comes inside, a #10, a target man. He's been more flexible than that, used a false nine or more of a 433 sometimes, but that's sort of the Klopp blueprint. The formation you had would be pretty close I think.

We don't map that well onto that formation though. I've been wondering in particular how he might try to get Benteke and Sturridge in the same side, because he rarely used two strikers. My hope is that he's been paying attention to Leverkusen, because they play with the same style but in a 4222 that would suit us better.

Let's hope it works but the cynicism in me doesn't let me be very optimistic. I used to be but we as a club, aren't great anymore.
