Originally posted by Fredo View PostSo Klopp. I have no idea why he's rated so highly and why we as fans would unanimously want him here apart maybe from his character and passion. Apart from Dortmund, he hasn't been really successful before? I know nothing of his former career. He might well have ridden a crest of a wave with exceptional players at a specific period of time with Dortmund, which ultimately petered out last year.
Surely, out of that list, Ancelotti IS the most qualified candidate, by a ****ing country mile.

I think both match FSG's criteria in some ways but Klopp ticks more of the boxes. Ancelotti has the proven knack of using an existing squad at his disposal and building something out of it and is also one of the few genuinely world-class managers with pull. He also has health concerns after coming off an exhausting stint with Real and is thus likely to want a shorter contract at this point. Presumably we want someone here for the longer term.I wear my heart on my profile name.

It is strange why so many have been self pleasuring over klopp for the last 12 months. I'm not convinced myself, but I'll get on board if he's chosen. He certainly has charisma.Originally posted by Alex View Post
I think it is now. One of the only voice sticking up for Rodgers. Now one of the only voices not rating Klopp.
I know Fredo probably does rate Klopp, but it is funny.

Yes he did, that's his whole selling point. He brought through players from the U19s and improved players who were underachieving with the previous regime. Plus coached the players that Michael Zorc and his team brought in - like Lewandowski, Reus, Aubameyang etc none of whom cost a bomb either.Originally posted by Fredo View PostIt's not a joke. He had very good players at Dortmund. Did he build that team from the ground up?
Ancelotti is a cheque book manager - he just works for the richest clubs - even Parma were big spenders at the time then Milan at their peak, Chelsea, Juve, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid. Talented but not a squad builder or hands on coach.

As much as I wanted Klopp I find my head starting to rule my heart. Ancelotti is unrivalled and just produces wherever he is, proven time and time again in the CL, attracting top players with him might even be easier. ****, I don't know this is so difficult!!!"Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball."
