When breaking out of defence it seems like everyone wants to walk the ball forwards giving opponents enough time to regroup. Lacking movement up front and vision from midfield. You could guarantee that every time Can, Lallana, Milner and Coutinho got the ball they'd dribble and come central and end up either having to play it back or squandering possession. I'm not including Allen because he was largely anonymousOriginally posted by Robbie-9-Fowler View Post
I don't think we know what to do with possession in general, we're poor at seeing games out keeping the ball too (long time since we've been in the position too)

It was a pretty **** performance.
I thought we looked leggy and were unable to press like at spurs in first half. Maybe this is down to the training sessions? Would be understandable if we struggle for fitness for a few weeks whilst they are worked hard at melwood. Short term problems with a long term result hopefully.
I also feel sorry for clyne, he doesn't look suited to the attacking game. Flanagan if he hadn't retired would be great under klopp.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

Give the guy some ****ing time. He has been in for one week and tactically we already look different.
He's missing half a team and we still look a much better unit that we did under Rodgers. Yes there's sometimes the honeymoon effect of a new manager but that's down to adrenaline, what were seeing from klopp is a new style, new ideas.
We should have scored 5 on Thursday night and we were just unlucky not to win. I can only speak for myself, when a new manager takes over I'm looking for a new direction, some small signs that things will be better in the future. Results are great but in this initial stage it normally gets worse before it gets better as players adapt to a totally new philosophy. Nobody after 1 week of training knows exactly what they should be doing in defence, attack and all phases in between.
Our results aren't any worse than what they were under Rodgers.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Don't get your knickers in a twist. I don't think anyone's expecting any big changes yet, even forgetting the tactical changes which will probably take a couple of months before it becomes second nature, its going to take a while yet for fitness levels to meet the demands Klopp will expect. Add to that the horrendous injury list, and he's up against it.Originally posted by el matador View PostGive the guy some ****ing time. From my personal point of view I was hoping for a honeymoon period when he arrived, where we would win games simply because of a knock on effect of good feeling and excitement/energy, as happens frequently with new managers. That's not a dig at Jurgen, it simply me wishing that we lucked a few wins, building confidence before he's really had a chance to do anything. That's all!
