Benteke, Firmino, Ings, Can, Henderson, Sakho. These are the players that should stay if we blitz the squad.

Man utd have better players but a boring manager. We need a manager to get more out of second tier players.

Vast majority should stay. They look like strangers at times. We need to build relationships and only bring in a few top quality players.

Maybe one in January, three in the summer.

Maybe. Henderson won't be sold but I wouldn't shed a tear. I'd rather keep Sakho but not fussed about the others, even though I rate some of them. We have to let Klopp do his thing, whatever that may be.

We just need goals. The end product in front of goal and the final pass near goal and in the wide areas is pretty woeful. Benteke back is huge, just needs Sturridge and Henderson and things will be completely different.

Our fullbacks I'm not too fussed on at the moment but they are trying to play a slightly different game than they are used to. Moreno is a weak defender and is a panicker & Clyne is a decent defender (I think)but not great going forward. Both are being asked to provide our width and are trying to get up the pitch but the quality of their service has been pretty sub standard.....very frustrating.

Lucas is essential in there and hopefully he can stay fit. Not as excited about Can's performances as few on here, guy has potential and has a great engine but he really needs to improve on the ball... he's not the only one though. I would say probably all our our lads needs to be better on the ball.

Benteke and Firmino hopefully will start the next game and we'll see how we go. Early doors and Klopp is doing the best he can in such a short space of time & with a pretty average squad. In saying that, we are much better than we are showing IMO just a Rodgers hangover and lack of confidence. Atmosphere in Anfield seems appalling. Trying to be a good atmosphere rather than just being a good atmosphere. I suppose we haven't had much a shout about in awhile and that takes its toll. I know it's too late and all but I would have loved for Klopp to get the summer window in, why the **** did we wait so long!!!!

Could make a case for selling any of our players. None have proven themselves to be top quality. Only Sturridge has co e close and he has that injury question & whether he suits 4231.

I don't think we have second tier players. We have too many similar players in attacking positions though. Firmino, Coutinho and Llallana are all similar. They like ball into feet and are not players who will run in behind and stretch teams. We had it with Sterling but he's gone.
                Are we winning?

We do. We bough them because they did well at second or third tier clubs. Even our better ones (eg Coutinho) might make the bench at the biggest clubs.

Don't know about everyone else but I was encouraged by that game. Did anyone notice if Pelle was playing? He's supposed to be a danger man this season. We had basically our second XI and they had their first. Yet they were the ones scared of us.

When the cavalry arrived we well spooked them. Great cross from Milner, and he does have some good delivery intermittently, but he's such a poor, poor player.

I noticed Pelle. Especially first half as I compared him to Origi. He held the ball up, whilst Origi hardly won a single duel. Massive difference when Big Chris came on.

In Benteke & Sturridge we basically have a far better version of Pelle & Mane

Pelle gave Sakho a hard time today. He's a good player, very strong but technically decent.

We need to get 2/3 of the average players out of the first team and replace them with top class for now. A striker, midfielder (Neves) and a goalie will take this team a long way.
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

Only thing we really missed today was a focal point up top. Ball just kept coming back at us in that first half, we just held possession without looking like we'd break the lines.

We really need someone who can ping the ball around.

And better distribution from the back.
