Was gonna mention Aubemeyang but there's absolutely no chance of getting him now.

Out of possession I am not unhappy with what I am seeing
We are pressing higher and more effectively. We have closed the gaps between the lines and our all round shape is better
It's also good to see a manager bollocking players for not doing as instructed and them subsequently responding
At the moment possession is a problem. We are too slow in possession and the team lacks pace. In possession we want way too much time on the ball and don't move the ball quick enough. The team is full of plodders imo. Looking at what Brendan bought most of his signings are slow in possession and lack pace and that is probably a reflection of the slow death by football Brendan wanTed to play bit for Klopp the players and are play will need to be much quickerBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. Never seen him play but it sounds like Neves is that someone. We really do lack someone to dictate the play from the middle. Lucas is a specialist, Can looks a good all rounder and Milner is the sore thumb. Henderson will replace him, I hope, and in time someone - maybe Neves - to replace Lucas in the anchor role and really dictate play. As much as I like Lucas, he doesn't do that.Originally posted by cream View PostWe really need someone who can ping the ball around. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I would keep Sakho also and HendersonOriginally posted by Kenneth View PostWe do and we will. The whole squad is fair game for me, Klopp can **** off whoever he likes and I won't complain too much. Can is probably the only player we have who I think we need to keep because of his potential. Everyone else is replaceable.Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. Maybe one in January, three in the summer.
i wonder how much time these guys spend together, other than the south american clique.
need to get them out somewhere to do some activity shizzle.removing all the weak links makes us stronger

He knows exactly whats up with us! Just hope the pressure and wear and tear of this job doesnt **** his head up before he's had the chance to fix it!
Jurgen Klopp has urged his Liverpool players not to let their heads drop after they conceded a late goal against Southampton.
Sadio Mane struck four minutes from time to cancel out substitute Christian Benteke's header at Anfield, meaning Klopp now has three draws from his opening three games as manager.
The German, who took over from Brendan Rodgers earlier this month, insists both the players and crowd must stay positive - and revealed he felt his players had lost "belief" after the late setback.
He told Sky Sports: "What I saw after they scored, they were all so disappointed. We had nine or ten minutes to play [including stoppage-time], there was another chance, but there was no belief anymore in the eyes.
"Nobody was able to push, say something positive at the moment. I think the fans were very disappointed too in this moment, because we all missed so much, but we have to be more calm in the situations we create.
"We work so hard, and then in the last situation we are not calm enough. They are strong enough, good enough, skilled enough, everything is there, but we are not cool, and that is the problem at this moment.
"We have to accept that things we don't like happen in a football game, but you have to stay in the race, that's all.
"It's not the best moment. We knew it's very difficult, Southampton are strong in away games, we knew it would be hard work, only three days after the last game.
"We didn't create enough chances at the end. We lose three one-on-ones in the air and in the end the ball goes in."
Klopp's Liverpool are now in ninth place with just three Premier League wins this season, already six points off the top four.
But the 48-year-old former Borussia Dortmund manager insists that the development process will not be achieved overnight, and says the current squad have the ability to succeed.
"We can do better with the players on the pitch. I see that they want, 100 per cent want, to win, to fight, to give all they have.
"Now we have to go further, development is never a short race, it is always a long thing. This league is too strong to make it easy and think now everything is better.
"When I came here I knew some things would be difficult, it's normal, teams don't wait for us."

the main reason pelle looked absent was sakho stepping in and dispossessing him before pelle got turned and ran at us.Originally posted by danperkins View PostPelle gave Sakho a hard time today. He's a good player, very strong but technically decent.
if pelle turns then he puts his afterburners on and is almost unstoppable.removing all the weak links makes us stronger

Lots of huff and puff, no real skills or goal threat on display. It is maddening how poor the squad is after spending so much.
I think currently we have a higher chance of scoring goals with Benteke, if we adopt Moyes style tactics of abandoning all forms of attack except crossing. Play Milner and Moreno on the wings and tell them to ping crosses in through the match. I dont think most defenses in the PL will be able to handle Benteke in the air.

It was an encouraging performance, the problem is in the final third we just don't have the creativity and goal scoring threat. We need to get Sturridge, Benteke and Firmino all going.
Lallana is a frustrating player, I know he has talent but his decision making in the final third is poor, so many times he comes backwards rather than forwards, and a number of times when he was behind their defence on a previous play he never got himself back on side. As I say I thought he was a good player at Southampton but he hasn't come close to recreating that form for us.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Agreed, horrible watching us toil and toil for ages in the hope we might just sneak 1 ****ing goal!Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostIt was an encouraging performance, the problem is in the final third we just don't have the creativity and goal scoring threat. It felt a bit meh when we scored 2 or 3 a couple of years ago now we are in this mess! Then when we do get 1 anyway theres always a high chance we'll give it away as our confidence is shot to pieces and we are a panic stricken mess. We dont know how to win.
He's annoying, you are watching like "Oh, great turn, he's in here" then he'll turn again, and again and then the other team are set defensively.
Just pointless! He's nice to watch but at times but I'd rather a boring ****er who scores or assists all the time!

Klopp knows what he needs to do, he's pretty direct in his analysis. He also doesn't say they showed "great character..." He's got two problems with the current squad though - to teach them his way and unravel the Brendan 'death by football' approach. He has also inherited a load of injuries and suffered a couple more in his first week.
I have no doubt with a full strength squad, we'd have at least one win from these three draws. I also think FSG have promised him some cash in January - no manager would accept coming in and working with the current squad until summer with no budget. Paying Rodgers and his staff off is an exceptional cost of the business and cannot impact Klopp's ability to buy in Jan. I think he will buy at least one key player who will have a real impact in the second half of the season. I'm also hoping that paves the way to churn a few more in the 'not good enough' camp in the summer with another couple of quality signings to come in then.
