A good coach can maybe consistently get 15% more from players and a bad one will consistently get less but in the end it's limited how far you can go by the quality of the squad.

Whatever everyone wants to think or hope we have a bang average squad. It's a 5th to 10th place squad.

When we don't have possession I can see some of Klopp in the team already. Press higher and faster.

With set pieces we are a little better but no where near good enough. The improvement is probably the absence of Lovren rather than anything Klopp has done.

Movement with the ball I see little change so far. Lots of passing in front of the opposition and no penetration.

Klopp hasn't had much time yet and he also is having to work with several of our best players missing but even with everyone fit it's still a bang average squad.

He might be able to inspire a 4th place finish one season with it but no chance of us confidently starting the season expecting a 4th place finish.

As a club we need to seriously improve our recruitment team. Hopefully Klopp will have an influence.

For long term success it's going to be recruitment decisions that will make the biggest difference to our chances of success.

Not another wholesale change to the squad. Most of the players we have are good enough to be in the squad. Just one or two world class talents added each window for the next 3 or 4 windows.

It's the only way out of this mediocrity and now we have a world class Manager I hope FSG see this because if Klopp fails I fear we are finished under this ownership.

Thought I'd post it here but I noticed that alot of people have Can in their top 3.

I thought he was awful, in fact, I'm not sure if he's any good. Sorry lads, don't mean to be a downer or anything but he just doesn't seem to have that x-factor about him even though he has plenty of ability.

Again, I really hope wrong but the way he surrenders possession is so cheap it should be illegal.

Villa game aside we're not creating chances thus the lack of goals.
It's like the team has no idea how to attack anymore.
How the committee and scouts have survived buying/scouting so much **** is beyond belief.

It's not that we've bought ****. Good players they all are, but our recruitment has been done without a plan on how we should be playing them. Look at Firmino for example. He's supposed to be Sterling's replacement but is nowhere near the same type of player. We have too many No. 10's.

thought he had stinker aswell. Was very surprised he made the top 3 in several peoples MOM.

Lots of running around and effort but doesn't seem to do much with the ball. Jack of all trades and still needs an identity. I want him to succeed but just not feeling the Can love in at the moment.

Just a word for Moreno's last gasp block tackle in the penalty area - epic! It was all or nothing a peno and maybe a card but he nailed it.

Klopp will not, and should not be able to completely change the entire squad. He'll maybe get one reasonably big signing in Jan, but that's it

It's pointless people reaching for the razor based on what we've seen so far. In terms of style, Rodgers and Klopp couldn't be further apart, so it's going to take a whole before the team plays how he wants them to

I think that despite the results, there are many signs of improvement. It's fairly easy to see the differences, it's when we revert to type that sees Klopp screaming at players and results in fairly pedestrian play

For me this is the problem with the way we have been signing players over recent years, we sign them with little thought as to how or where they will fit into the team.

It was an awesome tackle, typical Moreno.

I'm trying to like him as a player but he's a poor defender. I wouldn't mind so much if he was good going forward but his end product is terrible, he's a panicker.

Hopefully he can improve under Klopp but I haven't seen anything new since he was playing at Sevilla, same mistakes. Be interesting to see how he develops under Klopp.

Its clear the TC/Rodgers politics has resulted in a mix that no one would set out to achieve, the number of number 10s and general purpose midfielders is testament to that. Klopp's unspoken job between now and May will be to make a firm judgement on all of them and decide who gets shifted on.

We just played two of the best sides in the Lg and gave them very little, I am happy with what I have seen so far, we are only going to get stronger ... what a difference Benteke makes ... Can you imagine this team when Hendo and Sturridge come back .... especially Hendo
