Competition: Capital One Cup 4th Round

Not much room for rotation, would like to see Allen, Ibe and Tex in with Benteke playing an hour or so. Who do we have in defence who can come in? Kolo, and er, that's it?
    * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

      Lovely thread Phoenix.

I hope we put out a reasonably strong team for this one and don't chop and change too much.

Maybe give Bogdan a go and start with Firmino and possibly Benteke in place of two from Coutinho, Lallana and Origi. Perhaps Toure for Skrtel too.

Would imagine these will change a lot of their team given their position and fixture on the weekend. But their first team is **** anyway so no excuses here really. A good chance to get to a cup quarter final!

Can't see Eddie Howe risking more of his first team than necessary. His focus will be 100% on staying in the Premier League. That said, we've seen how we struggle against the 'gimmes' like Carlisle so Klopp will need to treat this as a 'give me a reason to consider you for the first team' opportunity

Id drop out Origi for this and have him off the bench. He would be better served playing his way into the team now we have Benteke back.

Firmino needs to start too IMO. Nice easy fixture to get him back and up to speed.

More than anything I just want us to win.

Bournemouth will need to be careful with this game, two tonkings in a row, several important players out, they can't risk loosing another defender or forward.

As for Liverpool - FOR GODS SAKE START TEIXEIRA

I just need to know he is still alive and not buried under the Melwood patio

He was at the bench recently - when Firmino and Benteke were injured.

Either he is his own worst enemy (lazy in training) or someone has given an image of him as second class from the former setup. Could also be, that he has been put aside because he hasn't accepted a new contract (out of con. next summer).

I think we need to concentrate on building the way we play. Personnel-wise I'd want to play a team I thought would also be able to start the next game. We have no partnerships, or instinctive link ups at the minute and I'd want to be building those. It's tough on young/fringe players but it would be a waste playing them in a non-functioning side anyway in most cases.

I think I would play a full strength side if players are fit enough (such as Benteke & Firmino), I think that the team needs to get a win for confidence this run of games with 1 win in 12 (or whatever) much be weighing on the players minds. If we can get a win then hopefully that will give us a confidence boost to take on from here.

The downside is that we have Chelsea at the weekend and we need the players to be fresh for that, with the our recent record and the potential for extra time if we draw, that isn't really what we need...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Coutinho and Llallana need to be rested.
                            Are we winning?

Rotate. We've had three games in quick succession. Give a few of the kids a chance to impress.
