Considering we have played 6 of the difficult 7 away games the results are quite goodOriginally posted by Robbie-9-Fowler View Post4 points off 4th after today, we desperately need to sort out our home form now.
Personally I'd risk the Europa with a weaker squad and keep Benteke wrapped up until Palace, momentum needs to be built there is no point winning today and losing next week.
We sort of had no win today looking back on it, Chelsea are in the worst form they're likely to be in for the next few decades yet its taken a win at their place to open up a 6 point gap which isn't huge really speaking.
Now its time to capitalise whilst their morale is rock bottom and ours in on the rise, put more daylight between us and have a real crack at this top 4.
Stoke W 1-0
Arsenal D 1-1
Man Utd L 1-3
Everton D 1-1
Tottenham D 0-0
Chelsea W 3-1
with Man City to come.
That's 9 points from a possible 18 I think most of us would have taken that.
The problem is that our home form against sides we should have been beating has been very poor with only 8 points from 15 against Bournemouth, West Ham, Norwich, Villa and Southampton.
That said comparing to the equivalent fixtures in the 2013-14 season we are only 3 points worse off. Of course to match our 2013-14 record over the entire season we need to win 22 out of our remaining 27 PL games, which would be one hell of a run making it really unlikely, but I thought it was an interesting stat. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Well.........that was excellent for the very most part.
Delighted to see the team grow into the first half after conceding the early goal, and when the goal came, nobody could deny it wasn't fully deserved. Just took over the match, and to fair, Mig was rarely threatened at any time - could have held Oscar's soft chance though IMO.
Some excellent performances out there as well across the team especially Lucas, Skrtel, Clyne etc, but everyone turned up, and no-one hid and shirked their responsibilities."I will make the boys feel your support"

Great game, we absolutely bossed them. We could have gone 1-0 up right at the start too if Milner hadn't been his usual **** self. On that note, we were much better when he got hauled off.
I'd forgotten what it was like to watch us and see us have a plan and execute that plan. It's great, really ****ing great. They'll be bumps along the way, but we're on the march! Klopp is going to take us to the top!
