I think it's pretty simple - most of the sort of lads who are up for making a racket are priced out now. Loads more 'consumers' at Anfield over the last 5 years or so. Sit in the Cent or the Main Stand and you're made to feel very conspicuous and a bit of a dick for singing.

How **** was Benteke. The kind of performance today I was worried about when we signed him. He looked to be on a totally different wavelength to our other players. Hopefully that should improve as he gets more games with them but he was very static today.

As for fans getting off early, that's been going on for decades, good luck changing that. Does send a bad signal though, fans think we are beat so do the players accept it too? Certainly can't help.

It's upwards of £50 a chuck - when you factor in other stuff like food, drink and travel it's close to a ton at least and it's just far far too much. Something has to give soon.

Have the Premier League set prices across the land to £20. TV money should subsidise that nicely and it will remove some of the obscene fat thrown at overrated players and their wages.

its bull**** and the whole league will implode on itself sooner or later. What draws the big money is the pace and intensity and passion. You lose the passion the other two things soon follow. It's happening right now.

Less local kids in the ground than ever, beauts local and from afar who leave early regardless of opposition/scoreline so they can get home 10 minutes earlier, the only noise some bother making is to berate the players etc etc, a load of old cunts just there out of routine etc while a load of foaming at the mouth kids desperate to go cant afford too. Aways arent even that much different, filled with tourists and ipad holding meffs despite selling out on 9 or 10 credits!

The best away in recent years was Wigan, adult tickets were £20 something, kids were a tenner. And theres the result :

It's not difficult! They are the future but most are being shut out.

Said it all the other day when Ayre was talking about supporters but referred to us as "customers". There was a meeting with Henry, Linda etc about this subject other week but I'd be surprised if anything changes.

                    Spot on both

It's staring everybody in the face but you sense the powers that be, both at the clubs themselves and the game's authorities, don't give a **** and will continue to not give a **** until something drastic happens.

Really sad to hear Klopp mention about the fans leaving as soon as Palace scored. He feeds off emotion, and expects his teams to do the same. Unfortunately, we groaned every time something went wrong. I feel like a bellend for saying this behind a computer screen not having forked out ridiculous prices for the game, but it does suck, and it's having an impact on the team and the manager.

It's symptomatic of the society we live in. There's no such thing as a fan or supporter. We're "customers" and "consumers" according to the club. It's oozing corporate suits who love to pleasure other corporate suits. And then a large majority of people are in it for themselves, demanding to be entertained, and when their instant self gratification emotions aren't satisfied, they groan and leave.

It's a toxic symbiosis which neither party is willing to break to start afresh.

Being made to feel stupid for that sort of thing is the worst. I've felt it loads of times, and I got so fed up with it I just wound up attending games practically mute. I remember shouting "what the **** is that for linesman?" and this fella behind me tapping me on the shoulder and saying "d'you mind mate, I've got children with me".

Yeah I'm a parent too mate, and if you take your kids to the match you're gonna hear swearing. ****s sake.

I thought Benteke had the same issues in midweek too, he doesn't have clever running or passing needed imo. He has his strengths no doubt, but I don't think they match our needs.
