He is a good shot stopper (a bare minimum requirement surely) but I think we need a calmer head back there. He reminds me of Westerveld, capable of the odd good game and match winning save, but not quite good enough.

I think the Westerveld comparison is pretty fair.

Mignolet isn't our biggest issue and he's a good shot-stopper. Since he came back into the team in place of Jones he's performed pretty well but ultimately I can't see him here long-term as he's not at the level we wish to be.

Oh and as an aside, can I just stress again how dislikeable Pardew is. Horrible little runt.

Pardew comes across as childish, but I think he's a decent manager. And fair play to him, he recruits well. He signs players that suit his system, as opposed to just signing the best players he can get.

In Bolaise, Zaha, Sako & Puncheon he has plenty of pace & power and with the bonus of Cabaybe in midfield they can give anyone a game on their day. Added to a solid defence it's no surprise they're a top half outfit with ambitions on finishing higher.

All that said, we let them off the hook yesterday with woeful finishing and pretty much gifted them their two goals. But I'd rather lose that way than realise we've been out played by them which happened last season.

We're on the right track, but there's no point in looking at the difficult games out the way if we can't beat teams outside the top 6 at home.
                  Forwards.......

                    .
Unfortunately we have been dropping points against those sides, we have less points from games at home to Bournemouth, West Ham, Norwich, Villa, Southampton and Palace than we do from away games against Stoke, Arsenal, Man Utd, Everton, Spurs and Chelsea. Which is crazy
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Can needs to find an identity. At the moment nobody even Can seems to know what that is.

Been saying it for a while now I just am not sold on Can yet. He has time on his side.

I know it's gone on for years but it's just a part of the problem at Anfield, with lack of atmos etc. I reckon Jurgen's probably a bit shocked by it all. Coming from Dortmund (incredible atmosphere again the other day) to this must be a right ****ing comedown.
Same ****ers by me week in week out 5/10 mins from the end been doing it for years just shrug when you say anything there`s also a fella who comes in late goes before half time comes back late and get`s off early I reckon he only sees about 75 mins of a match soft *******
The amount that is wrong at Anfield is getting bigger and the lads in the Kop who actually try to create an atmosphere are treated like **** by the club but are quick enough to use them to fill the pages of the glossy Thomas cook brochure

has anyone mentioned pardew kicking the ball sideways to stop us taking a quick throw in and maybe breaking away.

top cuntish behaviour, maureen would be proud, but i get the feeling he instills that do or die trying attitude into his team.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
