    Parking at Anfield

Already posted in the Matchday experience thread but that place is a bit quiet..

Got tickets for the Bordeaux match next week, but haven't been to Anfield for years- so where is the best place to park? Im not concerned about paying, in fact i'd rather do that than than leave it on a random street

    Thanks in advance

I park down by the 5 a side pits on Whittle Street at the bottom of the hill. Its not a far walk, just up the hill and you're there. Makes for a quick getaway as well. Here's the address

Powerleague, 2 Whittle St, Liverpool L5 2SQ, United Kingdom

As I always say, Abingdon Road by the side of Asda on Utting Ave / Queen's Drive is always a good spot. 10 min walk up to the ground and a decent getaway too.

        I often park there.

Is it **** a 10 minute walk though! It's well over a mile away and takes a good twenty minutes.

I'll normally park in one of the side streets near the Cabbage.

20 years my old man was parking there with no issues; the first time I went to the match by myself I drove and parked there and ended up with a ticket

There's a funeral place with 6/7 spaces outside it usually; I'll just park there before the game - its never open on the weekend so not like I'm in anyone's way.

If I end up parking in front of the funeral place in one of their designated spaces I'm sound. Won't park in that road otherwise.

Only downside is you need to get there over an hour before KO but can live that and run in the pub.

I park down by the Catholic College, think it's the next right or the second right at the lights. Again ten min walk if that.

When I leave I tend to sit in the car drinking a flask till everyone buggers off as traffic back to the tunnel is a nightmare.

I think he means he's still doing the walk back to his car
